1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I dont recall asking for it, so no, I wont be taking it. Despite your self-professed awesomeness.
This is a bragging thread and I questioned your apparent disparaging of dress shirt brags "People go crazy over dress shirts here that flip for crap" is how you put it. You didn't qualify that by saying, "except all those brag worthy ones" and then got all snippy when I note the brag worthy ones, IN THE BRAGGING THREAD.

The bigger question is, though, why am I bothering arguing on the internet?

My question about dress shirts goes like this: why do so many people post brags about Brooks Brothers? I see roughly two dozen every time I walk into a thrift store. And why brag about skeet rags? Nobody here seems to wear them (or "use" them, I hope).

    They don't.

Non-noobs don't, or do so very occasionally.

"It looks good, it fits and I wear it often" is the trump card, so you win.

Fit looks good apart from the aforementioned pants comment. And this will probably be useless by now, but in this case, given all the solid colours, I'd actually suggest a tie here.

Once Gap started selling selvedge, it stopped being cool to show off selvedge.

Oh dear god let's not get into this again. Pnutpug, you didn't see nothing.

Anyone know what this is? Silk felt really soft and I liked the pattern.

Hardly worn vintage USA made Staffords. Fit perfectly.

Today I mourn the passing of a Mr. RDS. However, now I have items that are actually worth bragging about.

Love seeing us as the #1 thread on the home page stats, ha! institches posts more in a month than I have in 2 years....

Luck's been a lady this week...today's finds, all in my size.

Bally loafers I have been seeking for a year...I find them occasionally, but always too big. Both fit me. Somewhat used but Topy'd and polished up niiiiice:

And if it isn't a Ferragamo gray/blue/white herringbone silk/linen/wool SC. I don't know if this is really something I'll keep but I'll wear it to work tomorrow and to church sunday and collect opinions on it...

The irony is if you'd looked even a little, you'd realize this EXACT question phrased this EXACT way is the fastest way to piss off the entire thread. [Sets egg timer; waits for inevitable brag after thrift run about all the awesome Dior ties he snagged]

(Dude, I'm usually not this dickish, but you came on kind of strong with the Millennial entitlement "Make the Interwebs Easy For Me" attitude.)

Don't think so. Or maybe I'm in the "uncool kids" Peacock thread. Here it is:
    http://www.styleforum.net/t/309785/waywrn-peacock-edition/1000_100#post_6209267

    This.

    This.
I don't think I've seen a standard BB shirt in a brag post in a while. Tailored stuff, especially the Italy (which can be Isaia made), Golden Fleece, anything Black Fleece and even vintage full canvas stuff can be worthy of admiration. But, to quote an earlier response when this FARKING topic came up, I guess I just missed the pages and pages of BB shirt brags.

As if I haven't alienated myself from the SWD crowd already, I think turned cuffs on jeans looks absolutely, irretrievably absurd. Sorry, guys. I just do.

I'm so old, I think this is funny! HAH

(You little douches, I remember when the only browsers we had were Mosaic and Netscape. AND WE LIKED IT!)

*Gasp, how else are you going to show off those sweet selvedge? [IMG][IMG]
Yeah, Gap kinda killed the whole selvedge scene with their wares...[IMG]

[IMG] I was a teenager when the interwebz hit civilians. I don't remember this. I do remember IE. version 0.1.

This whole raw denim experience is funny to me: I'm just old enough to remember when you actually bought jeans a size larger and your Mom would say, "Don't worry! They'll shrink!"

I also remember a velour leisure suit my mom tried to buy me as a kid. I dodged a bullet there! :nodding:

Funny how quickly time flies. I was just talking to someone about Netscape a few days ago wondering what ever happened to it. I completely forgot about Mosaic! Haha. Remember when it would take 2 hours to download one picture? I remember watching the photo load one little horizontal line at a time.

Gap's selvedge from a few years ago isn't really that bad.
