1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Hey guys! This thread has been super helpful in giving me a more keen eye and I've blown up my wardrobe with thrifted steez. Here are a couple of things that I hope are worthwhile posting. The BB stuff is available if anyone is interested (I'll take better pictures too...)

Ferragamo Oxfords (not sure what model? comfortable work shoes for the lab)

Some vintage Harris Tweed in my life (first shot at tweed)

Orphaned ([IMG]) 42L seersucker BB suit jacket (not my size! available)

42L/36W BB Saxxon Fitzgerald Full Suit (not my size! available)

And lots of BB makers ties/BB shirts/LL bean shirts with some other stuff thrown in. How did I do?

    35S Officer’s Coat
Shoulders 18, Length 40, Chest 20.5, Sleeves 23.5. Has some moth nibbles, but they hide fairly well. I'm taking it back if no one wants it.

    Faconnable Cashmere/Mohair Coat
Shoulders 21.5, Length 33.5, Sleeves 24.5, Chest 24.5. Small rip and a little wear on the pocket, but they hide under the flap and the rip is a super easy repair.

I don't recognize the mfr tag, but it's not Zegna. Also, the blue tag means Zegna cloth, not Zegna made. You can also post similar questions to this thread: http://www.styleforum.net/t/24109/h...secrets-to-id-the-maker/1100_100#post_6184916

Okay, all you SAVERS shoppers. I need some strategery advice.

The first Savers to open in TLoPL is scheduled for next week. I'm wondering what's the best plan of attack to find all those Kitten sport coats and Air Miss ties.

    • Should I expect a Black Friday bull rush when they unlock the front doors for the first time?
    • Will it make it impossible to find anything?
    • Should I wait until the afternoon when maybe they bring out the second wave of inventory to restock from the morning rush?
    • Stay away for the first couple of weeks until the initial blush fades (as if)?

    What would YOU do?

    About that perfect navy blazer...

I found a 3 roll 2 Brooks Brothers a couple of years ago that is my goto PNB but last week, I came across an older, shiny brass buttoned Stanley Blacker for Lord & Taylor navy blazer that wraps around me like an Italian actress in a subtitled movie. Half lined and very breathable fabric for warmer weather but canvassed! Was there ever a time when Stanley Blacker was a quality name? I kopped it but was curious about it. I'll keep it at work for emergency use after I get the sleeves shortened.

Good thoughts. I have some that I haven't worn yet. They've struck me as a sort of faded denim colour, sort of when dark denim has worn a few degrees lighter.

All of our local Savers seem to have absolutely no quality merchandise ever but it appears others elsewhere here have had better luck.

I'm serious, of all the thrift store chains I've frequented, Savers is consistently the worst.

they re-stock daily and change colors weekly, and typically follow a grander central distribution scheme (multi-state) than other chain stores.

prices are high for anything nwt or made by ralph lauren and across the board for other stuff

Thanks Nat and Vlassis! I picked them up, I'll post pictures tonight.

Easy: Nice find on that Beretta! I've been after something Beretta for awhile now, nice to see that it's out there!

Killer find, especially with the nifty fifty.

I shoot in front of a fence on my patio, but that's definitely not mine! Now that it's getting nice out and we have more hours of sunshine, you might see my fence appear in your watched items a bit more. :)

Damn dude. And M.I.N.T. Can't get much better than that.
