No, just peeled back the footbed a bit more further into the shoe and I don't see any stitching as far as I can tell. Ugh, why can't fakes just make their faking obvious and make my life easier, haha.

Also, absolutely love the ensemble @eazye!

So I was flipping through the racks these morning and I pratically gasped when I found two of these labels:

Immediately grabbed them and continued my rounds. Once I finished I stepped aside to actually look at them. One was a sport coat the other was presumably an orphan. Both were dated. Seemed 80's to me. Did I make a mistake leaving them behind? Should I go back?

Navy sportcoat, tag size 41s. thick weave but soft. Didn't check fiber tag presumably wool. Low gorge. A little bit of wear on the right lapel.

This is an orphan right? Smoth gray wool, low gorge, half lined, tagged 43 s

    Thanks for your input!

This is the most recent Boss model/size label.

Wow - NWT Helmut Lang jeans!?! Well, I guess you are in LA.... Nice score!

+1 on everyone else. No obvious signs of being fake. Honestly, they look real to me.

They did seem nice enough to be real, but they werent my size and priced for being a designer label (i think they were around $50-60 or so) so I didn't think it'd be a good flip for me.

    Unless someone here wants them...

Yeah, that's pretty steep for flipping. Can't imagine ever wearing Hugo Boss jeans.

Here are the finds for the past week:
I pulled this out of the bin with all the ties yet to be put up. Got pretty lucky. Only my 2nd Kiton tie find evar. Not available.

[IMG]Oh yeah, it's NWT :slayer: [IMG]

If anyone is like a 40L or 41L, get at me for this MTM staple suit. Wish it fit me. It is from a local tailor I had never heard of but I picked it up because it had the VBC fabric. Very airy and lightweight. It is a navy and the check stuff is barely noticeable, the flash picks it up. From afar, it is a navy suit. Also, the flash makes it look lighter than it is. We talk about the jacket pockets being basted all the time, but the split vents on this one are still basted (!). Pretty sure the coat has never been worn, but the pants hems are finished.
    P2P: 21.5”
    Shoulder: 18.5”
Top of collar to btm: 33”
Shoulder seam to end of sleeve: 26”
Inseam: 32.5 w/1.5” to let out
    Waist 33” w 2” to let out

Yeah, sorry. I don't know much about Dolce & Gabbana mainline shoes, so it's possible that they are just glued. However, everything else looks to be in order quality-wise (how's the leather?), so I'm still thinking real.

Insane to think that shoes that retail at $700 + are just basic glue jobs.

Awesome! Assuming you got this at a thrift and not a consignment, I will never understand people donating NWT items this nice. You have the tag on there telling you how expensive it is! Not complaining though. I love coming across great items that are NWT. :slayer:

That sweater is awesome! Dibs on the next one someone finds around a 23-24" pit to pit from a good maker.
Are shoes even faked? Seems like way too much work compared to faking shirts.
You're starting with the assumption that Hugo Boss are made to a level of quality commensurate with their price.

I guess, surprisingly enough to me, for now I'll assume they're real. Would still love additional input from people. The leather doesn't feel like anything great to me, but I'm going to show them to someone I know in person who knows a good amount about shoes as well.

    Thanks for the input guys!!

Are you sure the soles aren't goodyear welted with a closed channel?

what i meant was i didn't see obvious signs of a fake, i.e. poorly stitched tags. when i got home i looked up some stuff and yeah i thought they may have been real, but not my size and no money in it for me. Now if someone here wanted them, I could swing by and grab them on my way home, but I'm not gonna put up a B&S ad or throw them on ebay.

I mean, I guess it's possible...but the channel would have to be like microscopically small. I don't know a ton about Goodyear welting (or welting in general, as you can probably tell), but it just doesn't look like any Goodyear welted shoe I've ever seen which is what's giving me pause.
