1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Nice. I'm pretty close to you and I gotta say, Oxnard and Ventura have a butt load and hella cheap thrift stores.

Californians do a decent job of throwing out good stuff, don't they?

Waffle House sounds amazing right now. Just had my wisdom teeth out so it's nothing but apple sauce and soup for me for a while. :( Nice suit, too!
You are the king of shoes, Wes. Great finds. Those Waldens aren't beefrolls, FYI (guessing that was just a mistake).
These (and the rest) look great. I used to be a huge long wing fan but these days prefer short wings 100%. Xenos: Too much good stuff to quote! :worship: EDIT: And you just added more! St. Andrews for Brooks Brothers? Battistoni suit? Wow. I love the blazer buttons on the Oxxford. Anyone else ever mistake for a split second the Stafford logo for Oxxford? [IMG] [IMG]

    Xenos. Amazing.

Cleared the place out. At least now I know I can save some time by not thrifting for the next few weeks.

Is dm7 still thrifting in LA? I get the feeling that there's enough to go around for everyone down there. Definitely the promised land of thrifting!

Is there anybody left in this thread who hasn't bought a pair of The West is Dead pants yet (besides me)?

I would love to trade some of my thrift finds that are too small for me. I am a 46 and the world seems to be a 44.

I have two Canali suits (perfect) and a Hickey Freeman (also perfect) and a couple of sport coats at size 44. I also have the London Fog size 42 that I just posted in this thread. All of these items are listed on this site so just look under my profile for my posts.

I would trade for suits size 46, tweed, coats, shoes size 10 or anything else you might be interested in trading of close to equal value.

Yep, happened to me today. Stepped out, unlocked the car. The wind blew. I then turned around and went back in to put on my down jacket, hat and gloves.

    PM sent! :bounce2:
:slayer: Definitely worth the repairs for this beauty! So recent, too!
Amazing haul as always! $5 for what looks like a brand new Berluti belt?! WOW! Then you follow up with some crazy pants! Then suits?! :slayer:

I need to give a big shout out to Fueco, for a fantastic trade :D

Another big shout out to some of my local competition, Wizard Swears. Not only did he trade two Isaia shirts in my size for some Skeet Blanks, but he also let me walk out of the store with an Isaia jacket that he pulled off of the rack (even if it was an orphan). Thanks dude :slayer:

Sick as a dog, you guys should be glad you can't catch this vile cold over the Internet. Ugh.

    Today's find.

Vintage...short sleeved wool cardigan? Shirt? Where was this intended to be worn? Also if it has a button in the back of the collar, is that designed to keep a tie in order, or just to keep the collar from going sloppy?

Also, any guesses on vintage? I say 50s-early 60s, my wife -- who is a font expert but not a clothes expert -- is betting older

    Xenos, what the fuck.
Listen man, Im from New York. We have no WH's. The first time I went down south I discovered the joy that is an all star breakfast. I dream about fucking waffle house. I abandon my family every morning when I am in the south to go to waffle house. Im drunk as shit, 3am? waffle house. I wake up in the morning, wanting to scatter, smother, and cover something. I (srs) contacted waffle house about buying a franchise here in NY the day after I first ate it. I have a collection of waffle house ties. I have waffle house hats and t shirts, and those pins that the servers wear. Id take a salt lick steak any day of the week if it meant I can get a waffle. /rant ifuckinglovewafflehouse [IMG]
