1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Not this time, but I've been there a bunch of times. I proposed at the top of Lembert Dome and we were married below Yosemite Falls.

Things really dried up for me this weekend. Hit up six stores, bought only a single item, a tie. And the tie wasn't even all that great, I mostly picked it up for its novelty factor:

Bullock & Jones butterfly tie, made in Germany

Some recent finds (not from the weekend) follow:

Ben Silver regimental and Paul Stuart striped tie

Paul Stuart made in Canada blue dress shirt (with MoP buttons, 16-33, available)

    Cashmere sweatpants

Brown herringbone Harris Tweed sportcoat (roughly a 39/40 S/R, available)

PRL vintage heavy wool striped shawl collar cardigan (XL, available)

Jil Sander blue moleskin pants (EU 48, available)

I have also picked up a bunch of streetwear over the past couple of weeks. I suspect it's not going to be everyone's cup of tea in here (and probably not SF-approved), so I spoilered the whole thing.

I am a proverbial noob mind you...two weeks ago when in a thrift store I saw a well dressed man telling his friends what to buy and what not to buy. After talking with him about my interest in the thrift, he mentioned this website. I found 5 ben silver ties, and gave him two. I forgot your name but thanks bud. I hope to learn, thanks

Pretty good haul! I spotted a 7 fold RLPL at a TJ Maxx, but they wanted $200 for it :brick:

Regarding the Pantherellas: I love the OTC Pantherellas I got off eBay. The only Pantherellas I've found at TJ Maxx/Marshalls, though, have been mid (or slightly lower) calf, which I can't stand. I constantly feel like I need to pull them up.

Anyone else working on a punch list of clothing for friends/family?

I knocked off a complete outfit today for a brother in law who is a former truck driver and is seeking to establish himself in a new business. He needs to look professional.

    • Jack Victor navy w/ light blue mini pinstriped, super recent, half canvassed, dual vented, high gorged, flat fronted 42L. (He's 6'2")
    • Brooks Brothers blue, spread collar, slim fit, non iron dress shirt.
    • Façonnable tan/blue/white silk/cotton tie.

The whole rig was $30 US. The barstards had tossed a $25 "boutique" tag on what should have been a $15 suit but it's so nice, I couldn't complain.

I also found this (not pink, regardless of how the pic came out) tasty bit of Lands' End in my size! :slayer:

    And it's washable. :bounce2:
