That's Awesome, Lol! Nice composition too.
I found a sweet Recent HF Bespoke Suit today made of LP Tasmanian Super 120s. I think LP fabric is like filet mignon and caviar to moths because it looked like the previous owner got shot with a 12 guage shot gun. Was so bummed. I couldn't believe it was even on the rack.

+1. Cool story. Congratulations on the baby, too.

All I can say to some of the stuff up there is "Wow!" I really liked those 32 waist Incotex that someone posted somewhere in the past 87 posts!

Meanwhile, I am a man of modest desires. I was stunned to find this pair of iconic, like new black, high top Chucks AND these slip on, madras print Topsiders! I actually sell the Chucks at work and had gone back and forth on dropping nearly $50 on them. Now I'm glad i waited.

The Sperry's are just fun kicks to have.

Dispatch from the field. After seeing some of you land pretty nice Filson bags, I've been jonesing for a medium messenger myself.

Well, I didn't quite find one of those, but I did find this. With tags.

Sigh, it will have to do. So stoked right now.

Small world, isn't it! Let me know next time you're in town - we should have another MN thrifters meet-up!

Also, I know I said it before, but congrats to you and your wife on the baby!

    :wow: :wow:

A Billykirk bag is a grail find for me. I have a Billykirk belt that I got on super-duper clearance for like $6 a few years ago but that's it. Awesome find! Better than a Filson in my book. :hide:

Today I picked up a Mulholland Brothers for Ford/Eddie Bauer tan/brown leather and canvas garment bag. It's available if anyone is interested. Will let it go cheap as I got it for 50 % off.

Well, I went back to a thrift I hit up the other day and found the EXACT same pair of tan Incotex chino linos I picked up the other day.

I put the other pair up on the 'bay, so I'm making these available.

    Size 37 / 30

Usual rules apply... please don't PM if you're going to flip them, and will trade for Alden shell boots or a Yohji suit.

Ha! Must admit I was a little worried there would be a comment or two aimed at you... Glad you are such a good sport!

So today I found a pair of red Lacoste pants. They had an elastic and drawstring waist. I was pretty pumped, but it said they were Made in Thailand, which made me leave them.

Sorry for no pic... next time I am there I will snap a pic. Is there any Lacoste made in Thailand?

Feel free to send an offer, but I'm not sure if I want to part with any of them. I'm still building up my fledgling wardrobe, so I kinda want to hold onto the few awesome things I have, unless I can trade them for other awesome things ;-)

Speaking of awesome things, here are a couple more I found at Goodwill yesterday.

Canali jacket with a small hole at the corner of the right lapel (I think it's covered in the photo). I need some help with the tag, though. I'm assuming it's a Euro 54L (44L US?) but what do the 2/4/6/7/8 numbers represent?

Also snagged what might be the most gloriously ugly thing I've purchased so far, in my eyes. Jos A. Bank madras jacket, 40R

Edit: Almost forgot two more things. I also have this Banana Republic wool jacket, 42R - Modern Fit

and an Ike Behar shirt (17/35) which seems to be in perfect condition (but boy does it look sad on my coat hanger).

I think that is the "drop", i.e. drop 7 in the case of your jacket, which, is a pretty typical drop- in inches or cm. If the jacket is a 44(in), the waist on the pants would be @ 37"...should work the same in centimeters/Euro sizing (54-7= 47cm, x2/2.54= appx 37"). It generally applies to suits, and that jacket looks like it is probably a suit orphan. You will will see a drop listed on true sport coats as well- I have heard that it can refer to the waist measurement of the jacket in that case, but not really sure if that is totally correct.

    Thanks a lot; I wasn't aware of that. :)
