1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

here let me just sum it up for everybody who asks this question
download ebay app for your phone
    turn on completed listings search
stand like a dumbass in the store for 3 minutes with your smartphone waiting for completed listings to load
    ???
don't ask the question in this thread anymore

My belief is that anything is flippable as long as you don't spend too much. I am a noob here so I just soak it all in and lurk. People need to do research BEFORE buying and its all a learning experience.

Make sure to not gravitate towards only the green listings, focus on the red listings too as they tell the full story.

Given the conversation yesterday about "X made for Y" sport coats, I wasn't sure about the shoes. I know that C&J is a good brand, but otherwise am a n00b. I bought the shoes because I knew I could either sell them or return them for store credit. I do have the EBay app on my phone, but that doesn't always tell the whole story.

Found another Borrelli, MOP buttons so big I could hardly fit them through the button holes.

Definitely need to get back in the rolling routine but did a quick 10 minute session with the RR today and it loosened up a few good sized knots...this thing will pay for itself in no time
I agree that they are solid boots but i guess i'm just not used to their styling yet. They're new but looks like Frye tried to give em an antiqued look by putting on a white waxy coating to the upper. A little buffing and brushing has taken a good amount of it off already. Would have been great if they were the made in USA model but have heard decent things about the made in Mexico version so we'll see. As for the roller, the knobs are relatively soft and seem to be working. I've been working with a black (firm) foam roller for a while now but never made the jump to PVC, first impression is that the RR is a good intermediate.
    Let's go Leafs!
Thanks but this is definitely not the norm for the type of goods I see around here. Just getting lucky is all, these are the first items I've picked up at Winners in the past 6 months.

I'm a Canes fan, I can't really talk (though Jordan Staal + Alex Semin means this year could be very fun), but really, the leafs?

People from Toronto often suffer from delusions with respect to hockey. For me all this means is the lockout is no longer a story... boo.

Now then, serious question: Are the glory days of Robert Graham shirts cleaning up on the bay over?

Is there anyway we could get back to talking about the things we find at thrift stores, instead of talking about a sport that no one watches?:D

This came across my Instagram feed this morning. Glad he hasn't read this thread yet and thus doesn't know that this isn't the Dior/YSL/Lanvin he's looking for.

Came across a lovely Oxxford suit and three Zegna shirts (pretty much the first I've found in my limited Pittsburgh thrifting). Left them because they were too big for me, and I'm not one for flipping. Still, it gave me hope.
