1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I was out hunting for winter shoes, and scored some summer ones instead. At a 90% discount!

Moreschi may not be a particularly great make, and these may not be the kings of loafers, but they fit me pretty sweet, the leather feels kind of awesome, and they sure were worth the HUF11900, which is, at today's quote, no more than $54 dollars. :D

First, went thrifting. Grabbed a nice-looking blue checked Faconnable (my size, not available) and a light pink/white gingham Faconnable (size M, available). Sadly left a plain blue OCBD Zegna, again in my size. Almost checked out with it before noticing a really weird but significant tear in one cuff.

Also a few ties. First time I got a real indication the staff at one of these places knew/liked me, the lady was nice enough to go in the back and get some ties they hadn't put out yet (found the H&K in there). Not so sure on the Zegna, but I really really like the PRL.

Ties: PRL, Zegna, Hildritch & Key

Lastly, e-thrifting! Beautiful jacket I bought as a gift to myself at my dad's goading (also some Canali pants from the same guy, not really thrift prices). Jacket tagged Holland & Sherry, but also has some "Made in USA" tag details. Does H&S make anything in the US? If not, probably just H&S fabric, quite nice for the price either way.

Found a Polo Ralph Lauren 2B SC:

Close as I could get with my lighting and crappy camera:

Also found a new-condition Peter Elliot casual shirt. It's just cotton, but it feels like light denim:

Does anyone know who makes the shirts for Peter Elliot? It seems of good quality; on par with Brooks Brothers, anyway.

Passed on a Southwick SC, two HF SCs, and a J. Press suit. Not my size. :(

^ That reminds me, my local Marshall's had a bunch of Pantharella for $10 a pair. Only a few types (mostly black, some with tan stripes some with brown and then others with colored toes/heels). Would've kopped at least a pair (there was a teal pair, large, for $8 I really liked), but the line was huge. Can proxy if interested tho.
