This. Including not wanting the debate about guns. All I know is, when that Gabrielle Giffords thing went down, the report was that several onlookers were armed and very nearly started "defending" themselves and the crowd, and almost shot each other in the process. Everyone feel safer now?

I actually made one of these the other day. Turned out like shit. Very frustrated. Nice shirt, though.

Love velvet. Have 4 velvet SCs. Spoo be damned; I look GOOD in them!

FTFY, Cap'n. In addition to Outright, you can also call PayPal. It takes some questioning, but eventually they will disclose to you both the number of transactions and the total "revenue" counting for 1099 purposes. BTW, personal payments to NOT count, and expenses passed through PayPal are NOT deducted.

    AWESOME movie.

I fell off the wagonm again today. Wandered into my local to donate, and saw a Burberry tux hanging oin the rack. Moth hole. So I cruise a little further. Find a $hit ton more Burberry (mix of old and new -- nothing to get too excited over for kepsies/tradsies, but it is a good fundraiser on the Bay) plus a couple of Hickeys on the older side, but with decent details (LP wool, smoked MOP buttons). Then I hit the trousers: super recent Zegna, flat front beige. Super recent HF x2, light gray and dark gray flannel. Super recent Zanella unicorn platinum, split waistband. (all in the 40ish x 28 range) I turn my back for 2 seconds and the HF with pearl buttons is gone ('sokay; it was TEAL. No seriously. TEAL). So I grab the rest -- One camelhair older Burberry, one HF Custom in cashmere silk blend and a newer Burberry blue blazer with logo buttons. All 42Rish. Then I look at the counter near the register. KILLER SC in a brown plaid/windowpane. Definitely cashmere blend, possibly very recent Burberry. Plus some other juicy items. I ask. Some lady is coming back to buy; she just needs cash. Beat me by FIVE FREAKING MINUTES! Oh well; dems the breaks. The biggest disappointment was when I got the trousers home, two of them REEKED of piss. We're not talking "the last drop ending up in your pants" kind of stuff; we're talking incontinence. Nasty. Soaking them now in Oxy. Even if that's a no-no, I can't sell or use them as is, so what have I lost? $4? I did it with some stained trousers about a month back -- Holland & Sherry Fabric. Turned out fine.

Are Robert Talbott ties and shirts profitable on Ebay? I've been passing on those left and right.

some of the nicer Talbotts can be profitable, but mostly, nope. If you see Robert Talbott Estate, definitely grab it!

    Try Number 2:
Found an older Burberry (Burberry's taged, so around 10ish years old) at a Salvation army. Nice pattern, perfect shape except for some idiot trying to sharpie out the "s" in the tag (going to have to rectify that somehow). I am extremely leery of older designer labels now lol, but from what I gather, the "Burberrys' " labeled goods, while not the most desirable or flip-able, aren't quite as bad as that Christian Dior trench I stupidly bought early. Still working on reading through the thread, 2000 pages is a lot [IMG] Comments are extremely welcome as I am still a nooblet, but I'd appreciate not being extensively lambasted for being a buffoon if this was another stupid purchase [IMG] Some snarkbombing is expected of course (one of the great parts of this community haha) and entirely welcome.

Was in a rush and the checkout line was to long. Passed a few shirts by Oriali. Any thoughts on the quality.

Talbott ties in decent patterns have done better than recent zegna for me :(

Went camping for a week so had a bit of a break from thrifting.

Found a 3B Strellson navy SC. Fills a hole until a better 2B comes a long so can't complain.

Etro tie. Needed something in purple swirls for a cool SC I got from NewYorkRanger awhile ago.

Condition is probably Good+. The top left corner of Bono has some creasing but that seems to be as bad as it gets.

Probably won't hang these - my wife swears they went downhill with Joshua Tree - so available for a nominal trade or something.

I guess I should have been more clear, in saying meet both of the 2 criteria.

True, but Outright would save you the headache. If you visit the income page of the app, the total number of transactions is at the bottom of the page. The total income is at the top. Plus, any expenses can easily be tracked with outright. It will automatically record the transaction, you just have to go in and select a category for it. Save your receipts and invoices from your outgoing purchases / thrift purchases. Enter them into the expense section along with your mileage. If/when the 1099 comes, you will be ready to go.

While they are not profitable on ebay, do not hesitate to grab them for yourself. They are quite nice. Just make sure you don't overpay. There's a SA near us that wants $30 for NWT Talbott Protocol tux shirts. While they are a nice purchase for yourself on half-off day (and a hopefully larger discount too), they are basically at market price.
