I get mine in bulk on Amazon at a pretty steep discount, but I suspect they're "cutting" the Oxy with other detergents, so query whether I'm really getting my money's worth.

+1 to that. Even the second wave was fun to look at.

    Kay. Back to lurking.

Ridiculous finds, as always. Size/dibs on the Corneliani PRL?

Nice haul!!! I just realized I may be resigned to substantially less thrifting when I start school again... not that I would let school get in the way, but its going.to be.football season.after.all...

I've pretty much quit, and have been working on music/school/life instead.

Broke down today and hit two stores:
    Varvatos Mainline Shirt
    Enrico Isaia Orphan
    Recent Samuelsohn Suit
    Recent BBGF (italy) Suit
    Recent BB Hand Tailored Suit

I've had 14 hour thrifting days, written a craigslist data miner, and gotten my way into billionaire circles to buy wardrobes....

    Sir, I question your logic.

It sounds like you got burned out from hitting it so hard. Stepping away for a while—or at least enjoying thrifting as a more leisurely hobby—might not be a terrible idea for you. As long as you still post the occasional epic haul for us all to drool over :slayer:

I've said too much already. No more details on that: not even on Frenchy one, two, and three's behest.

Wow - another home run for ya, as always! Wish I had some monies to spend - I'd be all over that Battistoni and Kiton. Even the :Gasp: H Hilfiger s/c if it were my size.

Regarding the Kiton, I think it very may well be a sportcoat. It has very "loud" stripes. I've seen a couple sportcoats like this. Also, the casual details like the patch pockets, 1/4 lining and it appears to have the striped fabric on the inside front of the jacket as well. These all scream casual sportcoat/blazer to me.

On another note, mannequins vs. modeling your jackets/suits. What do you guys think?

+1. Xenos always has good posts. Also, I think that's the first time I've seen brag-worthy Tommy Hilfiger on here.

Mannequins, if they're dressed well. I see people selling menswear whose clothing forms have the worst collars and tie knots. It shouldn't matter, I guess, if what you're selling is the suit or jacket, but it does. If you're going to the trouble of using a mannequin to up your presentation, get the details right.

A model is nice in theory, but your model isn't likely to look great in everything you put on him.

Looks so bad hanging though. I'm trying it out, just grabbed some others items I will be listing shortly (shirt may be less than ideal)

    And some JCrew steez...

*edit* The portion of the quote I quoted no longer exists :eh:

No doubt you're good, but step back for a moment and realize that barrelintrigger has gone from the same Christian Dior licensed tie bragging status to finding half decent mainline items within a month. We're all jealous of the low hanging Cali fruit and if we all hit those stores the way we hit our own locals, there would be nothing left. I'd have a hard time not doing exactly what you're doing so don't think I'm taking a high road. It's definitely a mix of jealousy and my perspective on how people your age dive into something so quickly, only to be burned out months later.

On a side note, I would love to hear the billionaire circle story whenever you get the itch to put it into a post.
