[IMG] I was joking that they'd mispronounce it because they don't know the names

Moment not lost on me at all...I do a fair amount of research on completed (sold, not just completed) listings, and make note when I see things trending.

$700 shipping for an item that small? I've shipped OS2 boxes to Australia for a third of that...that person must've been overbilling to triple or quadruple their profit.

Pinterest is probably going to drive your sales forward, especially on more mall-oriented brands. It's generally been a site for women looking for visual inspiration and is a sort of consumerist amalgamation of linkedin, etsy, and flickr. Avoiding social media is the last thing you want to do if you want to become a savvy and efficient business on the internet. Surely you aren't thinking that you're going to make money on every transaction by taking crappy photos and haphazardly listing lots. Look at BPore and Wes...they consistently take great photos, list things at predictable times, and know how to communicate with their audience. Pinterest is a new way to do this in eBay, though I haven't explored how effective it is.

That's been a long time coming. They were talking about it last year. That should help a lot of folks out.

I just put the pictures in the body of my auction. Is there a compelling reason to use Ebay's image thing instead?

Hmmm, my wife has a pinterest account. I never even noticed the pinterest button on the listings. I think I will have her pin all of my listings to her bulletin board.

Oh yeah, Thanks for the compliments! [IMG]

Yes, the normal method of ebay images shows up exceedingly better on mobile. Also it is just easier than uploading on one site, and either paying them or looking at their ads, then grabbing HTML code to put it in the body.

+1, I do most of my ebay purchases from my iPhone, and the embedded pics can be a pain to view. Also if there is a flash player involved for a slideshow or something, you won't be able to see it at all with an iPhone. I try to think of those hinderances when I do my listings as well, by always trying to use all of the 12 free photos and only adding pics to the description if I want to show more detail.

Plus the new zoomable galleries ebay offers are outstanding.
