Outside of the average over-priced consignment, where are some higgen thrift gems in the Atlanta area?
Cheers
Usual haunts nationwide... Goodwill, Salvation Army, Savers, Thrift Town. You may find a few unique spots in a directory maintained by TheThriftShopper.com (or not). Btw, you're melting — 105 F today in Hotlanta.

LATE EDIT: Holy cow, Atlanta looks like a thrifter's paradise... Look at all these spots... Wish Salt Lake was as lucrative...

First of all, I'm excited that I get a chance to actually post pics of finds here! My wife woke up this morning and said that she had a premonition that if we hit some old school haunts, we would have some great luck. I was kind of tired and really didn't feel like an 8 hour journey, but said fugg it and we packed up and went.

Im glad I married this woman.

Disclaimer, these are not GW/SA finds, but rather some well off the beaten path places - not GW/SA prices, just slightly higher.

First up, two RLPL ancient madder PS's... very nice.

Then, the sickest Lanvin (the real deal, most coveted Lanvin of yesteryear) tuxedo jacket in a gorgeous Tom Ford esque jacquard print with satin shawl collar. About a 42-44R.

1/4 lined, fresco, virtually weightless Isaia black SC you say? Suuuure thing. Pack that sucker up. 44R/L

Hi there, Mr. Lifschitz. Did you ask your friends at Corneliani to make you into a staple nailhead grey suit? Awesome. Come to Papa.

Sorry no pics of the actual garments, but I don't have time for the DSLR and iPhone isn't taking the best shots.

Was pretty pleased with the haul until...

My wife grabbed one while I was looking in another aisle and said "isn't this the horse butt shoe?"

:butbut:

"whats that honey?" *races over*

2x Alden #8 shell loafers

1x Alden Ravello shell tassel loafer, 1x John Lobb "Mambo"

Brand new, never worn.

+1 billion. I literally said "goddamn you spoo" aloud. Some F***ers have all the luck.

/hate

Seriously though, that haul really is nothing short of epic. **** me running on what someone can get for bnwob aldens, much less what YOU'LL get for them. Congrats on paying for the kid's first year of college with today's finds.

Holy crap! Seriously amazing. Are any of these up for grabs?

Unrelated, and forgive my ignorance, but what's the deal with Burberry ties? Lucrative? I found the following today. Wasn't sure if it was fake/old/worthwhile to buy so I left it behind. Did I make a mistake? Thoughts? Anyone interested?

God damn spoo that is insane.

It's been really dry around here lately, and being fairly low on funds doesn't help either. But, if anyone wants a pair of seemingly NWOT Ed Hardy jeans complete with horrible branding and massive skulls on the ass for only $30 I am your man

.

That Burberrys tie looks pretty cool, even if not very good for flipping.
