Regardless, I bet you would never have been close to those "blinged out" women's capris. Had it been a SC, on the other hand...

Haha, very true. I just can't believe something like this happened in my own backyard!

    ok
I know you guys have been anxiously waiting my thoughts on the current debate SHOULD WE BRAG ABOUT HOW MUCH MONEY WE MADE OFF A THRIFTED ITEM

    drumroll*******

No. Not unless it's really crazy. See: $2500 Gucci croc loafers, solid gold blazer buttons, some maniac just bid my Robert Graham/True Religion shirt/jeans up to $250, basically some ridiculous out of the ordinary ish. Nobody cares if you sold something for 50 bucks when you paid 5 or whatever so what. That's not exciting or brag worthy it's standard.

Also I like how this thread goes off topic it's funny to come home and catch up on all the weird stuff I've missed.

    Bye

    ^^^ FALSE.

I agree... for what it's worth...

I know some local stores where I'm likely to find high end stuff... The one consignment store I've been to had Stafford suits at $25...

my 1/50th a dollar on prices... a coat costs $4 - $12, a shirt costs $2 - $8, ties cost $1 - $5 though my fendi and versace were both $8 a pop... shoes? anything they want to charge... $4 and up...

with the above im mind, it only really benefits to have pricing when someone says... "and I got it on the 50% off day..." = woohooo! or "It cost me more than thrift prices..." = sucky, but ya still got a deal

as far as it turning into a sales thread, I dont believe I've sold anything on SF I have made a few trades though... I'm sure that I wouldn't have got the deals through the B&S thread, as it seems to be very hard to acheive visibility there, which isnt a complaint, the guys posting in it pay for their ads and that helps keep SF available to the rest of us, for which I'm grateful

Ja, wir haben das gedacht. Herzlich willkommen zurück! Hast du etwas gefunden (z.B. möbel)?? Ich soll ein paar Fotos schicken weil ich habe einen Schreibtisch gefunden, aber ich habe keine Ahnung!
Yeah, that's what we thought. Welcome back! Have you found anything (i.e. furniture?) I should send a few pictures because I found a desk but I have no idea!

LURK MOAR bro. You have so many either completely wrong or mostly wrong conceptions that I really think you would gain a great deal by reading more of the thread. I've never bought anything at a consignment store ever. So yes, my 8x Oxxford suits, Kiton suit, multiple brioni SCs, henry Poole suit, 4x aldens, etc were all bought at thrift prices, and most other posters have done the same. It's regular conduct to identify consignment finds separately, and everything else is assumed thrifted.

I'm sorry if you are offended by my 9,000 post a day. I will keep that in mind next time I post but to say NONE is of the clothing I've found is BULLSHIT. Yes, I'm calling you out on your bullshit just you have called me out. So let's call it even and not carry this any further. [IMG]
