1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

    There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    GW has a little problem with sizing some time. It's not XL. Color is Pastel's mostly with a yellowish overcast, the darker houndstooth is light grey.

    Three-piece vintage (Union tag 62-76) Cricketeer suits in the 39-41 range would be a kop at $20? $10?

    There's a brown one and a gray one. Not tweedy, but still pretty sweet looking. I don't know if they'll survive until next Wednesday, though, so half price might not be in the cards.

    ^^ Nice! Cheap Thrills is one of my favorite albums. Love the R. Crumb cover. Still after Big Brother & The Holding Company's first self-titled LP. That Mcsweeny's 19 looks really cool!

    Me too! Great nostalgia value in that one... :slayer:

    Now I just need the Sticky Fingers album with the original working zipper. (The moms won't let go of hers, for some reason... )

    HansderHund, did you say you have TK Makk stores in Austria? If so you might want to check one out, somebody just pointed out in the Random Fashion Thoughts thread that they have some really nice Maison Martin Margiela stuff on their website for reasonable prices. I'm sure plenty of us would appreciate a proxy for some side-zip boots [IMG]

    Pardon the multi-posts; I'm squeezing in a week's worth, here...

    [IMG]

    ALDENS -- MY FIRST!

    Suede penny loafers, size 11 B/D, I think. (There is also a series of numbers with a 14 set aside at the end. They look closer to an 11 than a 14).
    Soles, uppers in great shape. A little wear on the black heel application most good shoes seem to have....

    AVAILABLE FOR DOLLARS OR MAYBE TRADE

    [IMG]

    THEORY JACKET

    So dericious, so sweet.... Invisible pocket snaps, awesome diagonal hem. Layers and layers of an uber-soft but resiliant cotton, deep black. Blacked-out double zipper, so it can be worn a few different ways. Retailed for ~ $500 :wow:

    Tagged XXL, in typical Theory fashion, it fits more like a Large. It's mostly just long, so I'm on the fence about keeping it. Fit pic data below:

    Thanks to GMMcL for PMing me very detailed instructions on how to repair that Hermes tie I thrifted last week. I made a few mistakes, but above are the results of my repair.

    Yes, HansderHund should buy us MMM side zips at the TK Maxx :hide:

    1. I wish I didn't find used loafers to be so gross.

    2. There's definitely something questionable on your mirror :uhoh:

    Not in Austria yet, unfortunately, but there is one about 3 1/2 hours away in southern Germany that I've been to a couple of times. The German site doesn't yet sell anything online, they just have style guides, but the British one does have a few pairs of Maison Martin Margielas online. They're £199 each:

    They also have a good number of Loakes for £79.99.

    Presuming no flaws, you should go back and get those parkas now--if they are still there.

    Thrifting here in the Rust Belt is a depressing affair, weeks of flipping through acres of Cherokee and St. John's Bay in the hopes of finding one item to be proud of. I usually find noteworthy finds every couple of months. Anyway, at my local Saver's today, I spotted this pair of kind of cool looking monks on the shelf:

    [IMG]

    But wait, what's this?

    [IMG]

    :wow::wow::wow::wow::wow::wow:

    But what's the price?

    [IMG]

    :slayer::slayer::slayer::slayer::slayer::slayer:

    I seriously almost shat myself in the middle of the store. The bad part is that they are about one size too big. And the condition is not great:

    Not sure what I'm going to do with them, so hold off on any PMs for the moment. Just wanted to share my victory with those similarly situated. Persistence pays off.

    The number of Lobbs that have appeared on this thread just in the past few months is insane.

    Mindblowing get. If they're near a 12D, I'm sure I can help you decide what to do with them. [IMG]
