1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Most of the PMs for secret santa have been sent! I still have a couple left, so don't panic if you haven't received yours yet.

I made a joke to my wife though that I should have told everyone that they got my name in the gift exchange. I'd then receive 40 gifts and disappear

Obviously I didn't do that, but if you have any questions, let me know!

I went out today to look for a secret santa gift. Found nothing. But I did pick this up for $9. I shall see if it fits my wife.

    It's legit, correct?

And here are the shoes from the last two days, cleaned up and ready for action.

Alden 6.5 E (I can actually wedge these on)
    Hanover 10 D shells

One bummer from today. I took the BB University Shop coat into a reweaver, who said nothing could be done. I'll go in for a second opinion. But I did learn that it's pure cashmere. So, I guess, it could be worse.

Hahahaha, I just went through my collection to make way for the Alden haul from last week. That just led to 30 pairs of shoes on the living room floor. Wife.....not.....happy.....

It's my pleasure! I hope everyone gets to have some fun with it and it's definitely the first time I've been a part of something like this...people that don't really know one another buying gifts for each other. In an age where people are skeptical of strangers and keep their guard up, I think it's really interesting that so many people opted to take part in it!

Having said that, I didn't mention this in any of the PMs as it hadn't really occurred to me, but I suppose it should be said:

Please let me know whenever you receive your gift so I can keep track and make sure everyone receives something! If you haven't received it by mid or late December, I'll get in touch with your secret santa and make sure they're on top of it!

Furthermore, it's really out of my hands. I can't be held accountable for someone flaking out and not sending you something. I don't foresee that scenario taking place, but it's always a possibility!

It's all of the hanging odd jackets that my wife wants out ASAP. I have them hanging everywhere right now and I'm trying to get what I have on eBay immediately. I'm currently watching some of my auctions end right now :slayer:

Wife told me today: If that room isn't cleaned up by next weekend, it's all going back to Goodwill and you'll have to buy it back. I looked her dead in the eye and said, "I can do that."

    Safe for now. I think.

Haha, I think it was a home run. I just Googled Home run and this pic popped up. I know nothing about baseball so I have no idea.

Sure. What are you looking for - vintage or currant or both? Lots of vintage names that managed to survive have really gone downhill and aren't even worth grabbing.

[IMG] those more shoes are getting scuffed. Then again I'm OCD about my shoes both keeping and selling.

Is there anything significant about a 1936 Brooks Brothers yatch jacket? This thing is older than my granpa.

Definitely new to this thrifting thing. But i picked up these Allen Edmonds today. Higher than normal thrift prices but since they fit perfectly I can't complain. They have been reconditioned with new soles. Very Happy.
