As I live in Sweden, I find at least 10 Eton shirts every time I go thrifting. Too bad they're priced very high (somewhere around 30 dollars each). Found a sport coat by Corneliani last week for half the price of an Eton shirt,

I also see it in practically every other medium - high end Italian clothing line, however.

Looks good. I like an oiled look for many reasons, the primary one being that it takes the stains/marks that accumulate on DBs and turns them into something reminiscent of a patina. Plus its a unique look; I don't want to be lumped into the same category as all these bustercards rolling hard in their Clarks.

Ok rest of my Saturday haul. [IMG] XLT, so not just horrible, but BIG and horrible. It has embroidered daisys at the bottom.
[IMG] Tilley L, my research led me to believe that this is a willis geiger esque company, and worth a few bucks. Trabaud, small but no size listed prob 15.5-33 ish. My research indicates its a small store in Cannes? any input?
[IMG] [IMG][IMG] dark brown and burgundy 36/38 respectively. Are these real?
[IMG][IMG] Appear to be approx 34x34, measure on request. Also found 3x Armani Black Label pants in really, really odd materials. 5% rubber? WTF. and a pair of black and white houndstooth unicorns for myself.
[IMG] [IMG] 44R 51%silk 49% wool tiiight pattern imho. Still has extra fabric and buttons in the pocket!
[IMG][IMG] [IMG] ~42R Holland and Sherry Fabric, sick pattern/ color.
    [IMG][IMG][IMG] also ~42R

I had a decent consignment store find today: a shop had accepted a bunch of Z Zegna suits, and priced them all at $300. They were nice, but not what I was looking for. Then, in the midst of the Z stuff, was a recent mainline Trofeo model (side vents, flat-front pants) in a 40R--priced the same as the diffusion suits. It was exactly what I was looking for, so I couldn't pass. I could spend the next ten years thrifting and never find that suit.

I also picked up a recent Brioni tie that'll be a nice summer addition:

LOL. Some dude in SW&D was just talking about how he was teh first on his campus to wear Clarks -- which elated him -- but then had to chuck them when other people, including frat bro's, began wearing them -- which saddened him.

    :violin:

    TODAY:

Mint Ermenegildo ~ soft ~ blue mandarin collar size L will not draw any PMs, but could not be left behind! super-shirt of romantic existence
Ermenegildo tie w/ duck at bottom

    LEFT BEHIND:

A sweet-ass deep navy marked unsold Filson shirt with little shooting patch - like shoulder patches -- M -- too damn big
    Ermenegildo boring-ass white workshirt

TURNING POINT/DECISION REACHED AT END OF SCENE:

A pledge to no longer grab Ermenegildo shirts, Filson shirts, Orvis shirts. RLPL, u no sell, wat to expect from the rest!

Think about all the wonderful positive distinctiveness that accompanies being the first on your campus to buy and wear a pair of mass produced chukkas. Think about the darkness and melancholy of having that honor stripped away when your local frat brahs start swagger jacking your look. They already get date rape smang the hottest chicks; do they really need to buy their footwear at the same Nordstrom Rack that our friend shops at?

Putting the Word Out [Not a Find, so save the moaning and groaning]

I am getting married in October of this year. I have the majority of my outfit picked out and ready to go. One thing is missing, though - a decent quality white, spread collar shirt. I'll go the retail route if need be, but so much awesome stuff comes through here, I have to ask.

So, if anyone comes across something that meets the following criteria, please PM. I'm no slouch on payment, and I'm not a dick about prices, so let's chat.

Things I'm looking for in a shirt:
    - 100% cotton
    - MUST IRON
    - solid white in a plain weave
    - spread collar
    - 15/15.5 -32 or 33
    - quality company

Some examples of what I'm looking for:
    - BB purple label shirts or above (Golden Fleece, etc)
    - Turbull & Asser
    - Brioni/Isaia/Kiton
    - RLPL
    -etc

    Thanks!
