. So it's THAT kind of party around here, eh?

Wes just sent me a torso on the cheap, and that is very, very deserving of a shout out.

just a a rick owens stooges leather( as opposed to a vintage perfecto )features drastically higher armholes, fashion forward post-hedi slimane fits and cuts. this barbour is the same way.
it is a 3/4 length jacket that has seen use and abuse and is given new life hauling brass to and from BLM land keeping public shooting ranges open and the second amendment alive.
icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif
Barbour size guide:

The Classic fit - Relaxed and generous, for use in either a countryside or city environment.

The point of this jacket is to give freedom of movement while you are shooting a gun and casting a reel. Good luck hitting a target while wearing a short bodied "fashion forward" jacket at the shooting range, bro. Also, please tape record the jeers you get from the other Second Amendment flag bearers, who no doubt are wearing XXL Harley hoodies and windbreakers.

O Sure it's not the heritage fit or the To Ki To collaboration, but play with proportions a little bit. Yohji Yamamoto went in the opposite direction as Hedi Slimane with much lower armholes, dramatic fabric drape, emphasizing layers on layers. Rick Owens and others have done most of their wares in this style, you just happened to describe the most trim of his pieces.

As far as the abuse the jacket shows, surely you've seen some of the destroyed Dior 17cm denim? No one that purchased these at the original MSRP of $400 thought of them as clapped out and in need of chopping into another piece. They rocked them as if they were born to do so. Also, totally echoing everyone when they say that reproofing is not a big deal. Talk about being a DIYer, melting wax into your bombproof jacket...this is what you've been waiting for.

Trust me, if I could afford a Rick Owens Stooges moto, I would've had it by now. As it stands, I have a sick Cockpit leather bomber that I purchased for $12 at a thrift that is more than adequate.

Hey guys!

I gotta get some new blogs / tumblrs into my rotation. Any recommendations?

I've got a few of the usual suspects that I keep up with on the regular - PutthisOn.com, An Affordable Wardrobe, thesuitroom, etc. But I would really like some suggestions in (but not necessarily limited to) areas that I'm not too familiar with like SW&D. Also, good Anglo / Italian stuff that I might not know about.

Thanks beforehand!

If anybody wants those APC's I posted a while back, the 28's for $70, PM me because the person that said they'd take them has never bothered to PM me back, sigh

I'm assuming this was directed at me. I never indicated I would take them, though I did ask what you were looking for. At that price, you should just go to eBay as I've purchased unworn APCs for less. Sorry dude.

If anyone from this thread wants (used) sz. 33 APC NS on the cheap, hit me up (ignore my classified listing... that's not cheap, though still won't be thrift pricing).

Totally dry thirft day. Unless Paul Frederick or Scott Barber shirts are worth anything, wasn't sure so I passed, but the one store had like 6 between those two brands.

saw 2 thin PRL knit ties at $15 each... expensive, would likely have considered if it was after pay day... maybe... i'm sadly thinking that GW's $3 is expensive nowadays... :(

some of the mass-flipper-grind guys (no offense) might be able to make money on those - hey, I didn't see Bobby Jones polos coming - but I would say these are pick-up-only-for-yourself-if-you-like brands. I have a couple of Scott Barber sport shirts that are very nice, I wear them more sometimes than a couple of my Brionis and Canalis and whatnot. They're a great example of a brand that doesn't get much love despite being made pretty well and sold at a high retail price.

Yea, I'm not a top rated seller so I try to stick with popular brands since I think that means my listings don't get the same exposure. My Robert Graham shirt has like 200 views while the rest have like 10-20. SF isn't always the best representation of what sells to the masses... I'm sure I accidentally pass on things that people would buy simply because no one in this thread talks about it.

edit:  Not sure if I posted about this or not, but big shout outs to Cotton Dockers and shadesofbeige for some KILLER Sulka and Barba Napoli shirts, respectively.  Thrift fits to come after alterations.  Thanks guys!

I enjoy Thrifty Gent by sf member "Orgetorix". Not really along the lines of what you specified but worthwhile, regardless.

Found a few things today. NWOT Burberry (Hickey Freeman) from Nordstroms with a tiny imperfection on the back of the right arm...Lookts to be a display model or arrived to the store with damage so they took the Nordstroms tag out and donated it to the thrift. Also a nice BB sport coat and a RRL shirt. Pics tomorrow, but first thrifting day in a few weeks so was excited.

^^You just can't trust someone with a 28" waist.
28" APC is really more like a 30....so in reality you can't trust people with 30" waists. 28" waist guys are trustworthy who wear APC 26's

Picked up a few nice shirts for my dad. Borrelli, Battistoni, BB Golden Fleece sea island cotton—all in mint condition. My dad's pretty into non-iron shirts, but I'm hoping he'll give these a try.

Also a Stefano Ricci tie and some sweet red Barbour moleskins for me. Passed on another Stefano Ricci with a not-so-great pattern.

EDIT: TheWGP: That's a beauty. I've found my share of Hermes ties but never a figural pattern, which are the coolest in my opinion.

Another solid day. Saw a lot of things for the bigger fellas, around 56EU.

However, just picked up one. If there's interest, I'll go grab the rest of the haul for whomever it fits.

Baller ass Zegna sports coat. It's a blue and dark blue window pane. Size 56EU

There was also an Armani in a grey/blue check, another Zegna with a olive/green birdseye in 15 mil 15 and an awesome bespoke one in grey/orange check. It was seriously, awesome.

Baller sports coat. Looks like an Isaia. Size is 50EU.. measures about 52

John Varvatos and Y-3 shoes. Y-3 my size, Varvatos are big, but I could probably wear them with thick socks or something.

Mixed with some stuff from yesterday, 4 Strokes black selvedge raw jeans, red Hugo Boss Baldessarini shirt, Onami black shirt (good for clubbing) and a Mastai Ferretti shirt.

Mastai seriously has the nicest fit ever.

Everything is available except for the Y-3, 4 Strokes, Onami and probably Mastai Ferretti. Please, take them off my hands. I'm not looking to make money on these, just couldn't let these jackets and shirts sit there. PM me if the stuff interest you!

All three of those shirts are pure secks. You can tell your dad I said so. And that Rici is also lots of secks.
