I felt like putting a bullet between the eyes of every Panda that wouldn't screw to save its species. I wanted to open the dump valves on oil tankers and smother all those French beaches I'd never see. I wanted to breath smoke. I wanted to destroy something beautiful.

That thing is sweet. The black label with white text was used in the 50s and 60s, I've read. Stuff from that era is pretty coveted by trad enthusiasts.

Got a beautiful Akubra felt hat for $4.29. A little small unfortunately ( but I'm gonna give it to a friend so not available). Strange though as it was made for Banana republic safari outfitters. What?

Not sure if the "what" was referring to BR but OG BR was a safari outfitter in the 70s. Their stuff is pretty collectible, I enjoy finding their Made in USA 70s/early 80s stuff. I found an awesome wabash stripe over shirt the other day.

I think this info and link have been posted before but whatever. This dude uploads images of old BR safari catalogs: http://scottcadams.com/bananarepublic/

Is there interest in vintage BR? I've found quite a few pieces of their safari stuff. If people want it, I can just proxy.
BTW have any furniture/leather goods/stereo thrifting guides been created? Seeing some of the stuff people have found i'd really like to become more knowledgable about non-clothing items, but don't have any idea where to begin. Can't really search completed ebay listings when I don't even know what I should be checking for. I know someone posted something about looking for danish stamped furniture, but i'd like a bit more info than that. One thing I can't stand is thinking I may be passing up valuable stuff due to ignorance. (A drakes tie haunts my nightmares.)
