Grenson Masterpiece for Paul Stuart, size 9.

Plus a nice 60s aloha shirt, a linen Polo blazer and a cashmere camel-colored Purple Label blazer. Not bad for a Saturday morning.

What are the different lines from Grenson? Are the Masterpiece their handgrade line?

That's a lot of stuff! I'd love to thrift in LA sometime. That Oxxford windowpane jacket could work as a sport coat. No idea what's going on with the tail on that shirt. It looks like that Andover Shop shirt isn't from THE Andover Shop; I think it's a golf store. Their stuff comes up on occasion in my saved eBay search for "Andover Shop."

The Hugo Boss looks like a suit jacket to me, as do several of the other jackets. What will you do with the orphans?

Nice! I picked up some Grenson Masterpieces during the Rider Boot Shop blowout sale last year. They're fantastic.

Thanks. That really cheered me up after reading all of that.

The majority of you guys really made me feel like crap. In my first post about wearing this stuff to prom I called it a "fashion faux pas". The combination was abominable. That was a given. It's embarrassing to think that you guys see me thrift all of this stuff and believe I know nothing about MC.

I wore what I had that fit best. I had been saving a PRL tux that fit me perfectly for this prom, but was told that I wasn't going. My girlfriend decided to go last minute (2 days before), and this was the best I could find:

The suit: It was bespoke, fitting around a 38R (I'm about a 37R). It was wearable. Was it formal? No. Did it fit perfectly? No. Was it dated? Yes. Everything else in my closet was 40 and up.
The shirt: 15.5 33 (my size), slim-fitting (my age/body), in good condition. If I could have worn something else, I would have, but nothing was close to fitting.
The tie: It's crazy. It's also horrendous except in very particular situations. Yes, I had options on the tie, but I decided to go grossly over the top due to the shitty shirt/suit combo, and the fact that I didn't have shoes.
Shoes: I don't have dress shoes anywhere near fitting me. I got the Lanvins in the mail from B&S, wanted a chance to wear them, didn't have anything better to wear (I could have worn beat up all-stars).

This is the first situation that merited MC in over 2 years. That said, I keep none in my wardrobe.

I've been pretty fed up with a lot of this thread, and this was icing on the cake. I'm not even sure why I post anymore.

    ragequit.........*goes off to find frenchy/valium*
