Hey Andro, do not do this. Renovateur is for smooth leathers not raw like beeswax.

What I do to mine is saddle soap, then a coat of Obenaufs. Works like a dream.

Phew, glad I didn't. Thanks a ton man. Where would one find this Obenaufs stuff?

Also, what kind of saddle soap should I be looking for? I see some stuff on the cheap on ebay, but there are different colors - yellow and white. Does it matter? Sorry, I'm used to treating/taking care of dress shoes, but I'm trying to take a wild ride on the casual side.

Not much at lunch, but I found some bows -- polo usa, vintage burberry -- and a sweet Canali 15% silk sportcoat. Looks pretty recent, and I got them to kick in the hanger. But it's a 46 R, so no good for me.

Anyone got any deets on the Geoff Nicholson tie? I only picked the ties up (there were a bunch more) because they were $1.

My J Press hopsack navy 3-roll-2 blazer is one of my favorites. If any of those is a 40-42 let me know. I'm also interested in the cufflinks.

I have to disagree. Saddle soap is a harsh cleaner and I wouldn't use it on any shoes or boots unless they had nasty grease or tar on them. Obenauf's is great stuff though.

    Today:

Finally a navy blazer in my size that isn't a total piece of shit. Of course, I would have much rather had that Brioni (cough, Brianpore ,cough) No maker, just says Made in the USA on collar tag. Pick stitching all over the place, fits like a dream!

Bowtie, Madras tie and another that I picked up because I love the pattern, reminds me of the stuff Prada's been putting out.

Another tie hanger for my ever expanding collection.

So, I'm going to start calling size small PRL shirts, Loch Ness. For real, I see 1 for every 500 XL out there.

Fucking sick vintage Richman Brothers shawl collar robe. Made in the USA. I've never picked up any sleep wear before because, you know, it's sleepwear. Although I've been tempted with some nice BB. But I just couldn't pass this up. Being oxy-cleaned as we speak!

John Varvatos paisley shirt, size XL

Vintage Shuron 24k gold filled tortoise horn-rimmed glasses. I had this exact pair except in black and silver for years, until i lost them at a concert. Nice to have a pair again.

    And this:
Fucking mint Filson field bag!!!!!!! This makes my Filson count, 2 bags, 2 braces.

That thing is incredible. I've been eyeing a few myself and that's exactly what I've wanted. Nice grab! If you feel the need to let it go, hit me up! :slayer:

I should have mentioned that non of this is up for trade except the Varvatos^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Also, speaking of selling stuff to famous people, I got this message today.

    Dear etho781,

I would be willing to pay $10 plus $6.25 shipping for the red & orange plaid Talbott shirt. If you are interested in making this sale, I will pay by PayPal. Thanks, Tom Green

Could it be that Tom Green rocks Robert Talbott shirts?

Those glasses and that bag are pretty insane; but, I guess, no means no.
