I have sold things to a few museums ... Vintage typewriters, vacuums and cameras. A couple pairs of shoes to be used onstage in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at the university in my hometown , Salisbury md. Also a sweet houndstooth trench to a small time actor in a Sherlock Holmes presentation.

My most notable transaction was a pair of NOS Allen Edmonds zip boots size 13-14 AAA to Erik Petraitis. He was an animation editor for King of the Hill.

Their security tag ruins all fine fabric shirts. It's a real shame...

Slow day, brought home a few things. I found a pair of trousers (reverse orphan from a suit) with a distinct Corneliani tag. They don't have a maker's tag anywhere, thus I assume they came from a suit. I grabbed them without giving a final once over and found a repair that was made once I got them home. They might work for me, so I haven't decided to re-donate or keep them. I tried to figure out the customer from the tag to no luck, customer is 914 and the model is "Madison".

Next up was a Chester Barrie tie, regimental maybe (?). Do these do well on eBay? Completed listing search revealed 1 unsold. I've never seen one. It has a tiny tiny pull, but definitely not a deal breaker (available).

I also picked up a couple of pocket squares, wide blazer hanger and 3 or 4 scarves for my dog. I bought one that was really great with intricate patterns thinking it was polyester only to find out it was hand printed silk. Looks like I'll have a styling dog.

Nice job! I think one more coat of colored creme polish would even them up a bit.

^^^ Unless it's a sometime poster on this thread... and it's not the son, it's the automatic bidder... and "I didn't fully read the listing..." [IMG]

Gucci tie...not sure if it's fake or just old. Could someone verify?

Left behind: Oxxford unlined double breasted orphan 42T in a grey with light blue wide pinstripe and Valentino blazer also in what seems to be a 42L. Pics to come as soon as I get them off my phone. Let me know if anyone is interested and I can look for the pants/proxy.

    Phew my cable wasn't stolen.

    OK, here goes...

First up, Wings + Horns button-down for me picked up on deep discount ($17 taxes in) at Holt's Last Call... lucky, as this was pretty much the only thing in the store on sale.

Next up, Hawes & Curtis NWOT shirt size L (42-43). Probably overpaid for this but it has a nice pattern, and thought someone here might like it. Available for proxy, shoot me a PM. Otherwise it's getting returned.

And finally, paging all larger guys: NWT cotton Brioni trousers, size 40 (and no, that's not a European 40). Planning to go to the 'bay with these, but thought I'd make them available here for a few bucks less than what the eBay BIN would inevitably be.
