This thread will bring more than enough information on the Gant/Bastian department, including fit, who stocks it, why it sucks and that you should instead buy goth ninja stuff for 10x the price, etc.

By the way acosbysweater, my wife saw one of your old fit pics, and thought is was a picture of me.:paranoia:

Anyone know what just happened to my account? :brick:

Didn't receive an email and I can't retrieve password either... No claims against me or anything stupid like that.

*edit* Back up. That was odd.

DarkMatter7: thrift pro or faux? :)

Certain Polo stuff is very collectable.

Though they're not high end, I'm always on the lookout for PRL ties, the ones with the maker's label on the rear blade. They're made in the USA and the dozen or so I've thrifted are my favorite mid-range ties. In general Polo is the kind of stuff I'm often happy to find and have in my wardrobe but rarely will brag about. Lots of solid basics in classic styles, and readily available. I've never found any of the valuable stuff though.

Someone needs to make lmetfy.com, the eBay version of lmgtfy.com (Let me google that for you). Whenever someone asks "how much is X worth?," give them the lmetfy link and it searches eBay completed listings. Bam.

I know the Corneliani tags and a lot of the PRL made in Italy stuff is Corneliani, but what about the rest? I have searched and searched, but can't seem to find this answer. I have a couple of pairs of pants that are PRL made in Italy, but they lack the Corneliani content tag. They were expensive and well made. Any ideas?

On another note, I may be offering up a few things at cost + shipping (from Austria) soon. My wife puts up with the habit pretty well I have to say, but we have a small problem with the incoming/outgoing ratio. I'm not sure what all I have exactly, but a lot of the recent things I've posted will likely be included. I'm going to throw the things that will sell well on German eBay, but things like Barneys or Saks stuff won't do well there.

Shipping won't be too bad single pants or shirts can be shipped stateside for €8 (without tracking) and €15 with a tracking number. Sorry for the :spam: !

    Srsly?

They were $5 compared to the usual $2 price for ties. I had no idea that anyone would actually want them. I might be able to slip back there and grab themif you think they're worth anything.

There was a third but it had this mark from a Sharpie pen on it.

This kills me! I walked into a GW yesterday after looking for seersucker for months and found a JAB with pleated pants and shoulders slightly more padded than I would like but it fit well and I grabbed it for $15. Oh well...
