Wow, a Versace tie pattern I actually like. UNTHINKABLE!, so it's probably fake, haha. Nice pickups!

Found some Italian ties to go with these... Need a Spoo Signal for this one. Real?

picked up these Gucci lace ups today at goodwill. they are practically like new. They are a size 9 1/2 and currently sell at neiman marcus for $625. How much do you guys think I could flip these for on ebay? Should I do a buy-it-now or an auction?

You should sell them to a forum member for half of whatever that amount is and be handsomely rewarded with some sweet gear down the line [IMG]

Cool, thanks! My first Versace tie!

If you're new to eBay and you list them? Probably $100. If Spoo lists them? $500+ [IMG]

Worthless, send them to myself or Spoo for disposal.

Consign them to Spoo. Afterwards you'll be able to buy a late '80s Honda Civic with your profits.

haha i'm just cranky today. all work and little sleep makes mexi a cranky (and quick to kop clothes) boy.

also, in hopes of actually contributing to the bragging aspect of this thread:

+infinity. i've gotten WAY nicer clothes via developing good relationships with other dudes here than i ever would have gotten by flipping for profit then buying. less effort, too.

    • short view = charge high prices to person A in order to afford person B's high-priced item
    • long view = hook people up and make friends, then wait for them to hook you up in return, effectively outsourcing your thrifting and developing a nationwide network of personal shoppers. :teach: :D :slayer: :fonz:

Ok, sounds like that is the most popular advice so half of $625 it is

I'm actually buying a 3 year old scooter with the profits.

Soo, nobody was stoked to see the Quoddys I kopped for $65 shipped? Man, guess I should only post boring, dated suits from here on out. I'm sure it'll piss some people off to hear that I leave almost every PRL suit that I see...

They meant half of the resale value, not retail.
