I am sorry if I am late with this, but do you have an eBay store or just work of B&S? Those squares are amazing![IMG] I would be very interested.

    Decent day yesterday:

    For me:
    BB repp tie
Martin Dingman made in USA Italian calfskin belt
unworn Totes made in the USA boot size galoshes. About to buy a pair of Swims at the BB F&F sale, so this was a really lucky find.

    Passed:
2 Ferragamos, 1 Santoni, 1 A. Testoni shoes - well worn, but the leather was decent. All need more love and care than I want to give.

    Available:

2 NWT Robert Graham shirts - both large

    :inlove:

+1 and many more. Still can't get the whole square thing down, but even I can see this is good stuff.

Not even to a sock hop? Or a Juke Joint? How about a soda fountain?

I'm crowning this "Twofer" week. Because twice this week (so far) I have violated BOTH thrifting rules I set for myself last week; to wit: 1) No more thrifting until you can see the bottom of your trunk; and 2) If you must thrift, at least don't thrift shirts, because they just SIT AROUND.
We all saw how well those rules went down on Monday (~10 shirts). Now, today, I came across a $H1T TON of shirts. So I decided to buy only the ones with real MOP buttons. And I STILL ended up with 6-8. Mostly Jermyn Street (few Hilditch and Pink (looking at you, Catside), plus a couple others (not CT)) plus Faconnable plus at least one Talbott estate with Megalodon-sized real MOP buttons. Plus a Battistioni tie, and a Ted Baker women's shirt I'm giving to my tailor. Sizes varied: one 15.5 (Faconnable?), couple in the 16.5 range, couple in the 17-17.5 range, and one 18. Closer to what you folk would call "consignment" pricing, but still dirt cheap for what they are. Available; really would like to trade but I gotta get these out of my hair, so they will be B&S or Ebay bound within the next couple of weeks. Pics later today if I get a chance.

So, learning from past experience, I'm setting a new rule: Absolutely, positively, categorically NO thrifting Kiton or Isaia suits in a 42R or John Lobbs in a 10.5D. (OK, thrifting Gods. I'm waiting.... )

EDIT: Oh yeah: Had to pass on a pair of Zegna su misura reverse orphans (they were a 42 waist anyway) b/c the price was OUTrageous, and a J Press flanel navy chalk stripe in the 43R range (HALF PRICE!!): ORPHANED!

^ Yep I am retiring from thrifting for two weeks. No thrift store visits period. It has gotten out of control. I'll take those Pinks off your hand if they are 43 and sea island or two ply mate. Post pics.

I believe so. A friend of mine donated an almost unused childs violin & case a few years back and received a tax receipt from them. Best to check with a local manager or give the store nearest you a call to confirm.

    Payday on these...nice catch!

We're all addicts here and have all said this before. You're going to be thinking off all the Kiton and Isaia that's probably being put out that you're missing out on and go back....

Local TJs has Robert Graham belts for $25. Looks like they go in the $50-$60 range on flea bay. Not much wiggle room there, might have to wait for them to get discounted a bit.
