That jacket looks great!
Wow, nice writeup... Okay, do mine now
Where'd you find this deal?
Some more ties I picked up today. All available for cheap as I really don't have a chance to wear ties very often. Charvet was pictured earlier, tho. Sorry about that!
Oh yeah, found some nice SW&D. A pair of Gilded Age jeans in my size and a XL Wings and Horns blazer. Didn't pick up the the Wings and Horns though. It was a little more expensive than normal.
Spoiler: Warning: Spoiler!
Sportcoat: Vestimenta unstructured linen from eBay
Tie: Thrifted (nothing special)
Pants: Brooks Brothers Madison from hmmurdock
Shoes: AE Arlington, thrifted
PS: Nordstrom Rack
After I left I wished I'd gone with navy pants, but oh well..
Um, that bathroom looks totally clean!
Ouch, that bad?
grendel, burn the tie and shirt. I would have flushed them down that toilet behind you. The olive pants aren't great... the kiltie loafers are... kiltie loafers, so they should be donated back. Jacket, pocket square and pants appear salvageable.
Agree, except on the jacket. Square and pants are keepable.
Hmm... Gonna have to disagree. I like the shirt, the coat, and the kiltie loafers.
back to my hole I go.
A true thrift "fit" pic. I wanted you guys to see the shirt fit so I ditched the jacket. Come hither and bear witness to the amazingness of my tailor. This shirt feels like it fits perfectly, and the shirt itself is AMAZAING. My first and only Loro Piana. It's tucked in, but the body fit is pretty much exactly the same untucked, all the way down. Like all of the shirts "my size" (read: long as farouk with long arms and wide shoulders), when I got it, it was a balloon in the body on me as usual. My tailor split it down the sides and resewed it. You can't even tell anything was done to it - she even replaced the Loro Piana "badges" down at the bottom of the sides. I think she might have even done the seam at/underneath the arms, because the armholes feel perfect - no bagginess underneath the pits.
Friend, we are the same size. When you tire of that suit, you give me a call.
I'd have to agree with Mr. Moo and Spoo. I don't think anyone has ever pulled off kiltie loafers, especially the wing tipped and tasseled variety.
At the least, I'd ditch the tie and the shoes. I think you could keep the rest as along as you didn't wear it together.
The Zegnas are a little on the 90s, Jerry Garcia-ish side. I usually leave behind older Zegnas.
the new zegna ties are the slanted logo right?
