    Hello all,
This is my first post, but I have lurked for about a year... Thanks for the education!

Any insights regarding who made these golf spikes? Quality seems on par (pun intended) with AS/Peal Co. Size 9 - Available.

I went to a new (to me) place today, not great selection but I did get two Tyrwhitt shirts in my size for $4 total. I think they'll be regulars in my rotation.

Huge +1 here. This thread and hobby has damn near consumed my life. Was much more in balance before I got addicted to the thread -- and when people weren't posting insane hauls!

Thrift fit for today -- and I promise I didn't put this on when I saw Grendel's.

SC: BB 1818 Loro Piana cord, ATLJon
    Tie: Ted Baker, EasyE
Shirt: CT Sea Island, retail from YEARS ago
Links: MOP made to look like buttons, thifted by me
Square: unknown, silk, thrifted by me
Trousers: Kiton cashmere/cotton, Vexco, :slayer: (Please excuse the wrinkles; end of day)
Shoes: J&M, retail YEARS ago; just thought they were fun with this outfit.

Two questions for Spoo: 1) Have I redeemed myself; and B) Am I doing better on the square/tie/shirt coordination? I'd folded this one so what you saw was a pale powder blue and a reddish orange. I thought that picked up on -- WITHOUT MATCHING -- some of the centers of the dots in the tie.

BTW, today I realized the dangers of taking thrift fit pics at work: You'd better be ready to explain to your boss, who already barely tolerates your dandyism, why you're taking pictures of yourself in the office mirror. And, for the record, "Oh, I go to this chat thread where we all take pictures of ourselves and post them and talk about our clothes"? Not helpful to dispel the tension.

Found these sweet Church's split toe today. I can't read the size or any of the other numbers, but they fit my 11.5 foot a bit too snugly (11?), so these are available. Custom Grade .

Finally broke my dry spell this weekend, my girlfriend finally let me get some. :rimshot:

Went yesterday to the local Goodwill and stumbled upon a:

Helmut Lang SS shirt in a 15
Carrol and Co shirt in 16
    Recent Zegna shirt in 16
    T&A shirt MTM around 16

and a very recent E. Zegna blazer in 40R. A bit too big for me bummer. It's super nice, in a staple navy with shiny metal buttons. It was just coming out on the racks and I noticed the shiny buttons so I hopped on it.

It seemed like there was a massive dump of good stuff so I went back today and saw some guy that was there yesterday as well. I knew he knew what was good as it looked at every brand on the shirt instead of simply the shirt.

He kept eyeing the door to the backroom and I noticed that there was a rack of suits when the door opened. So I'm thinking there was going to be a number of nice things rolling out, but that guy then went back into the backroom and swooped on the suits. I guess he bribed his way in or something. I couldn't see any of it, but I guessing there was a number of really good things. I guess there was a haul before I went and that guy picked it up and decided to come back and sweep it clean. :brick:

None of you are in Santa Barbara right?

Come to think of it, I see this guy at almost every thrift store I hit. Goddamn it, no wonder it's been so dry.

Since you ask... I disprove this fit for a few reasons. The shoes feel out of place for me. The SC/pant combo is nice. If the shirt is pink, its the wrong tone for the fit, you should have went with a light blue, or even a white. The tie seems too shiny for such a rustic corduroy, a wool tie would have been better here. You were right with grounding the fit with navy, but the sheen kills it. The square is showing a bit too much for a TV fold, and theres so much going on with the shoes, shiny tie, and texture of the SC, the pop of orange pulls my eye to that when it should blend in with the fit.

Try it again with the same SC and pant, pale blue shirt, wool tie or matte silk navy tie and a sliver of a white PS or a paisley small printed square. Regular brown shoes too, not a two tone job. This is of course, only one mans opinion.

For your second point - just become the boss. Problem solved. :)
