Talking to something cold, unfeeling and that (accurately) thinks it's cooler than me? No thanks; I already went through High School.

(Srsly, not an Apple hater (or trying to spark Thread War Three). just a) prefer the QWRTY keyboard option and b) trying to be funny).

This...is awesome. Jacket rules, and I'm loving these thrift fits.

My grandmother actually did end up framing a Hermes scarf, this sort of very cool-looking George Washington/map themed one my dad gave her for Christmas like twenty years ago. Sounds weird, but it looks amazing all decked out with a shiny gold frame. :D

Love the tie and belt!!! Too cool.

Same deal here - all of the jackets, coats & sweaters are in storage for the next 4 to 5 months!

Wow - you can get this from RH? I'll have to pick some up next time I'm near there. I bought a bottle of this stuff years ago from World Market. Worked amazingly. World Market ditched all their Minn. stores and when the bottle ran out, I couldn't find a place locally that sold it. Thanks for the tip!

Making a suprise trip to Houston tommorw. Anyone know of any good areas to hit up or want to meet up and thrift? This is a one time thing I'm not looking to steal anyone's spots. P.M. some details. Thanks!

I could be wrong, but I believe that is supposed to be a Tarpon and not a trout.

There used to be a really ratty and ugly Salvation army that rarely produces anything i rarely visit.
to my suprise i walked in it it was renovated, nice lighting, nice flooring, new paint, new racks
everything was priced (often times twice and different prices!) but it looked clean.

the prices are ridiculously high shirts average at 15.99, they had an Xbox (first one) marked at 149.99, and a pair of ray bans from the early 80's at $125.

but it was nice, i'll visit it more often and hopefully start catching mark downs/deals

I have almost these exact shoes. Yours have broguing on the sides and toe medallions. Mine are the quieter sister.

    Congratulations on a great find!

A pair like yours sold on the B&S a few years ago.

Yeah - but it's a fair mistake - besides the dorsal fin, that fish looks nothing like a tarpon.

Been a little dry around here lately, but did have some good finds from stores I hit on friday and saturday....I'll post some pics of other finds later on when I take pics, but did have a couple of items I could use some help with:

First- Hermes "H" pattern tie- seems to match what the labels should look like as far as I can tell, but real or fake?

Second, picked up 2 pairs of tassel loafers (one burgundy, one black) ,the writing on bottom of insoles has been mostly worn off...indicate Made in England exclusively for ...but cant read who..
Made in England and style size written on inside side, soles (outside) indicate the soles were Made in Italy... searching the forum and google hasnt turned up anything so far--

    any ideas?

Black pair is basically the same, but slightly different #'s on the inside:

I have found a few of these. Basically the woven Hermes have the H tipping and the woven watermark on the tail. The printed ties have plain tipping and the usual serial number on the tail. Always had good luck on ebay with those. Nice find!
