Ah, guess I'm wrong about that then. I thought it wasn't a current line. Nevermind my previous post then.

I get yours was NWT, but was really NWT, or NOS?

Wait, what? What was wrong with the unicorn?

mainy, I'm curious how you like that D&G shirt. The one I found was surprisingly luminous, very high quality.

I would pass on the To Boot esp. @ $25. Unless they fit you and are in great shape. They are a hard flip b/c the quality is all over the place.

Oh yeah, of course...wasn't implying otherwise; was just trying to get to the bottom of whether Proposta is a current line or not. Canali's website - like all fashion websites - is, of course, unhelpful.

I have an original Eames LCW that looks beautiful, but no one wants to sit in it. I've heard that is true for a lot of Eames seating. Still if I could find a lounge chair for a decent price, I'd be all over it.

Soft is definitely defunct, I believe its last season was in 2003-2004

Proposta, to my understanding, is the same quality as mainline, just with a fuller cut (hence Canali XL)

ALSO: How much should I pay for a male torso mannequin?

    Re: Zegna Soft.

I don't think the line looks inherently dated. They made it up until 8 or so years ago. This jacket was made in 2002, so I don't think it necessarily looks any more or less dated than anything else made in that time period.

As for the made in Italy/etc...my somewhat significant experience with the Soft line tells me that the majority of these items are made in Italy.

As for Switzerland, I know that some of Zegna's top current/recent lines are made there (e.g. mainline, Milano, Su Misra) and, apparently, some Tom Ford as well. Anyway, it doesn't really matter: southern Switzerland and Northern Italy are essentially the same (good buddy of mine is from Southern Switzerland, yet identifies himself as an Italian).

I have/had several pieces that were made in switzerland that I really liked. One of my favorite SC's came from zegna-switzerland, but I had to sell it as it was too small :(

Just to add in my 2 cents: Canali Proposta is definitely no longer current (I believe it went bye bye around the same time as Zegna Soft). Also, the quality of Zegna made in Spain, Italy, Switzerland, AFAIK, are all the same.

I have an Ebay question for you guys. I sold a pair of very high end, near mint (probably worn 5 times or less) shoes on Ebay on 3/26. Buyer gets them and leaves positive feedback on 4/2. I received a message today from him saying that the soles of the shoes are "disintegrating" and that he wants me to provide a remedy. I'm thinking I'm ok sending him a nice and sweet f*** off reply seeing as he has been wearing the shoes and has already given me positive feedback, but wanted to check with the ebay sellers here to see if you guys have come across any similar situations.

I would tell him to take a hike. At least lead his on and ask for photos. I'd be interested in seeing what he considers "disintegrating".
