Barrie Ltd was a New Haven -- near the Yale campus -- shoe store that closed about 10 years ago. They sold Made in England shoes under their name. Generally decent quality (like Cheaney). AHS

Little to report tonight. Just one navy Pendleton wool shirt; I suspect fairly new because it's paper thin, whereas mine is much thicker. Left behind a bunch of stuff:
    - 1 older (late 90's?) Burberry orphan in a very nice navy chalk stripe. Shame. Nicest Burberry I've seen (I've always viewed them as more name than substance; please feel free to educate me if I'm wrong).
    - 1 full Burberry navy stripe suit, single vent, double pleat. Same vintage and the color/stripe as non-staple. At a Jackson, seemed to much work/risk, but if there are aficionados here, happy to proxy at cost plus ship plus a few bucks for gas/trouble.
    - 1 Kick-ass velvet car-coat length overcoat, complete with ticket pocket, by Abboud (End World Hate!) in a 46R. Again, proxy available.

OK, I owe some folks PM's...

Edit: Oh, I did pick up one Timberland leather belt. Because the brown PRL belt I picked up the other day is TOO LONG (and hence available :spam: )

E white bucks, 10 1/2, available. Looked beat to shit when I picked them up, but I gave them some love and attention so they look presentable. I can take better pics if anyone's really interested. There is a small hole from the security tag, courtesy of the savages at the thrift.

^^It is a now defunct New Haven shoe store. made in England shoes were usually made by Cheaney. Barrie shoes were very high quality. Also what Spoo said.

Ha was already answered. Speed of this forum is incredible.

Passed a NWT looking suedish coat marked A collezione. Made in Italy and I figured a local Armani knockoff. 20 bucks. picked up a Prada red tagged rainjacket medium, hood was not available. Pretty sure real and quickly claimed by teenage daughter who usually shuns brands. 50 bucks at GW. So it was expensive. Picked 3 staple BB buttondowns, one for another thrift bro if he likes it, two for me. Overall not bad but nothing special, except the too expensive rainjacket.

    Hi All,

Now that I have read almost all of this thread I wanted to try to contribute a little bit. I've been thrifting for about 5 months, and while I've made a few decent finds I wanted to make sure I read everything before I start posting.

I do want to take some time to post a thank you to a few members who have been generous enough to do some business with me even though I'm a total newbie.

Thank you to Grendel for the loafers and Typhoid Jones for the belts. They have both been very kind and reasonable, and I highly recommend them.

So thanks again guys, and I look forward to becoming a contributor to this thread.

Today's trip to Savers yielded a Burberry's check shirt (long sleeve, button-up - fairly certain that's it's authentic and somewhat old) and a Carven of Paris dress shirt. Does anyone know of this brand? It appears to be high quality.

I knew there was a reason why I didn't post about those Canalis I left behind today.
