Nice couple of days for me. Spent a weekend with my parents and fiance went wedding planning which meant I had an afternoon to hit a spot I hadn't before. Unfortunately came across shit loads of consignment stores that had 80$ AE's and 600$ burberry jackets. but wtf ever. found these:

attention those 44R's out there that are in need of some bad ass sports coats for the spring season.

also - found this ridiculously sexy single-breasted, peak lapel, ticket pocket, working cuffed, unvented SEXY suit. also a 44R

and, based on my recent success with Zegna suits, I was so [IMG]to find this super recent double vented, made in Switzerland E Zegna for Bergdorf Goodman that is in practically, if not new, unworn condition. tagged 58L drop 7

Crazy hauls from you guys today - nice job! And welcome, new guy with all the shoes.

Charvet tie and Sulka Bow Tie

Pair of Single Monks from Nordstrom (made in Italy). Not too crazy but I thought I would give them a try for a bit

    Zegna Derby/Bluchers

And two ties I havent been able to gather much info on - any thoughts?

Navy with white squares, feels very thick, made in Italy:

I know the Italian means something like "made by hand" or "handcrafted," but obviously that could have been stamped on anything.

    And this multi-fold tie

I thrifted an old pair of beater PTBs to try something new. Not really bragging, but wanted to share.

Not the perfect results, but not too bad for the first try.
Note,If you try this, use heavy rubber dishwashing gloves. The disposable ones actually dissolve in the deglazer.

Wait...woah. Did you just *strip* shoes?! What is the endgoal of this? Are you "staining" them? How do you do this?

Yep, I really just wanted to try it out, to see about totaly changing the color. That way I can thrift a pair I like the style of, but not the color and change it to a color of my liking. Basically I rubbed the shoe with the deglazer, until the finish came off and I had raw leather. Then I picked a color, and polished them with that. It was kinda fun and interesting, only took about 1/2 hour for the one shoe.

I used tan wax, I was way low on neutral.
