IIRC, it was grey with pinstripes. Don't remember the size at all; really should have taken note of the details. [IMG]. I've got a full schedule today and this place is somewhat far from where I live, but if I can make it over there next week I'll let you know.

That's my size too, just posted all my shoe finds over the last 6 months, however it's being held for moderation, if you see anything you really want I might be down for a trade, most are 10-10.5, although the A.E vary widely, will be posting pocket squares soon!

Definitely my best 2 days ever, including a once-in-a-lifetime piece. Everything but the 2 leftmost Zegna shirts, the Saks pants, and the last item are theoretically available, though I have a large number of preferential trading partners who get first dibs, so don't be offended if I later say something isn't available. And we're off:

Saks Fifth Avenue flat fronts, grey flannel Tattersal Ltd flat fronts in size 38 (don’t know anything about them, but the quality is there and they seem to be from the same donor as the other hot shit), dark navy Isaia Napoli flat fronts in size 39, brown Zegna for Incotex flat fronts in size 40, black Zanella Platinum UNICORNS in size 40

    And this...

Finally had a chance to go out and hit the thrifts this morning. Not a lot out there (I now suspect Andro is complicit in this), but managed a good day for myself.

Found an awesome Samuelsohn houndstooth SC for Wm Fox & Co in my size (Wm Fox is a small, DC men's store that specializes in high-end suits/shirts/SCs). Heavier wool, so it's out until next season, unfortunately. "Absence makes the heart grow fonder" is my motto until then. Then a haul of BB button-downs in my size, which is really rare without huge stains or rips. Not the better US-made kind, but a good casual addition, nonetheless.

Passed up some nicer stuff, all of which had issues. The funniest was an Armani brown 100% cashmere suit. At first I was pretty excited, but then I saw fading. On top of that, it had the dreaded no-vent jacket and 2 forward and single reverse pleats pants combo. Eesh.

Best part of my day was listening to some woman scream her head off at her illicit lover over the phone. From what I gather, they are having an affair, so it was hilarious that she would have had this conversation IN the store. People never let me down as a source of entertainment.

::EDIT:: Not to burst your bubble, Andro, but that all looks like fake junk. Best send it my way for inspection....:hide:

    More seriously, though, wow. :slayer:

I wish everyone in this thread had to read the entire thing before posting

Glad to hear this thread has done some good for someone looking to build their own wardrobe as well!

Bear in mind PRL made in Italy stuff (suits, pants, SC's) are high quality items (I think you were talking about the polo shirts and what not though)

Nice to meet you and good luck :)

I am the only one who doesn't mind ventless? I think it looks better on me actually...

That being said, double vented is still king and sells for more (obviously)

andro, those isaia pants should fetch some decent money on ebay if you decide to sell. Flat front and recent isaia tag make them awesome. (aquaspider wool maybe?)

I know SF doesn't seem to love navy pants, but I had a hell of a time finding flat front navy pants last fall and winter.

I'm with you, I don't mind ventless at all (but if I had an option I would get with a single vent). I also love navy pants, aren't they a classic along with charcoal?

A lot of people on here think they are overdone/look like they are part of a suit. Personally, I love navy pants. My dilemma is that I own six different blue SCs

I am ok with charcoal trousers, but I almost always prefer that my trousers be lighter in color compared to my SC, so I prefer mid and light gray to anything else.

I wouldn't mind it for myself, although I haven't tried. Still prefer a single vent. But the pleat situation was out of control on that suit, and it wasn't my size anyway.

Welcome. Quite a chore reading all of that but yes, its the equivalent of a HS diploma in clothing. Where are you located?

I dont know how long it takes, post a note here and ask:
