I went thrifting with my mom yesterday and we hit some store that I don't usually get to.

    Picked up:
-1 pair of J&M shoe trees
-3 random Made in Italy wool sweaters for my father
-1 J&M silk sweater also for my father
-Donna Karan Signature 44XL also for father

HF 85%Wool 15%Cashmere SC 43R- I thought it looked outdated but my mom talked me into it

That looks more recent for an HF piece. I am no expert on the label, but I would put that to last decade sometime. I dont think it looks dated either and have to say that is a moderately good find.

Every once in a while I wonder if I'm in the presence of another SF'er.

We need a secret code or something, an SF mating call of sorts.

If I met Mainy, I would ensure we established a mating ritual .
It would probably be more related to the oldest profession though - clothes for services rendered.
    Just kidding broski.

Thanks! There was also some Burberry London in the same size but it was priced to stay on the rack.

I would have picked up the Burberry London. Not worth a whole lot, but probably more than Hickey Freeman.

I picked up something really cool today. A casual unstructured Brioni sport coat with Loro Piana fabric
and surgeon buttons. I quickly tried it on and was excited. I went to the cashier at Second Debut (Goodwill's
boutique here in the Twin Cities) and paid $68. After getting home I did a little research and discovered
that the label "Biano Brioni" actually make $200 suits and are sold on Amazon. Happily, I made my
way back and returned it. The label indicated it was made of linen, yet the opposite side of the coat
said Loro Piana Super 150's. This must be the crackerjacks box version of italian tailoring.
Oh well, all in a day's work =)

i agree with Klobber, i have a Burberry London navy blazer that was made in the USA by HF, and it's nicer than a HF mainline navy blazer i have. a lot nicer. i think even though HF makes burberry london stuff, they put more effort into it than their own stuff.

Sorry I misspoke. The HF was cheap, the Burberry was priced high.
