1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

where you is, frenchy? stumbled across this print/litho? I might just cop so that I can have it in my office but would love some knowledge on this guy. Im trying to find the exact name of this piece - i believe it is a scene in Paris because that appears to be Notre Dame in the background (top right)

Charles Cobelle, born Carl Edelman (1902-1994) was a modern French master of painting, lithography and a fine muralist, who was born in Alsace-Lorraine, France.[1] He is considered the last link to the great tradition of the Open Line School of Paris.[1]

Well, well, well. Time to bring the thread back down out of the clouds after 100 posts of some really amazing stuff.

Picked up this jacket and vest, probably orphans, could not find pants, but thought someone here would like it paired up with some denim or chinos,

Nino Cerruti (Paris, no less) tweedy jacket (double vent, fully lined, patch pockets, two button) and vest that measures out to a 38 (too small for me):

    PTP 20", jacket waist 18 1/2, Sleeve 25, shoulder 17 1/2, length 30. The vest is 20 PTP and 21" long. A 12-pack and postage and it's yours!!!!

    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

It's in great shape, the only blemish is the second button down on the left sleeve is scuffed.

Well, his paintings won't make you rich: http://www.stairgalleries.com/auction/04-21-07/catalogue/201-300/cat-221-230.htm

Personally, I think $75 is a bit high. But that's probably the price of the frame job.

Very odd indeed, RLPL linen shorts 32 W, but they are like a combination of yellow and orange that my older iPhone's camera can not capture. I am sure someone could pull these off who has SWAG, lol.

At some point, it shouldn't be all about money. Myself, I like that print and would buy it in a heartbeat for $75 and hang it on my wall. Who cares if it is worth only--gulp--$75?

My gosh. Is flip-value all anyone on this thread thinks about?

^^^ Are they meant to look like that? Were they yellow shorts that were washed with orange bleeding madras bed sheets?

Hey, BUDDY. He asked a question, and I gave a response.

And you know, for a fact, that flip-value isn't all anyone on this thread thinks about.

And Samuel, perhaps I was wrong: http://rogallery.com/Cobelle_Charles/w-697/cobelle-along_seine.html

Bingo, that's what I'd do. It's cool but there's not a lot I'd pay $75 for at a thrift store.
    Wow, nice internet find!

I have found that same Charvet tie before, in another color. Still baffled by the graphic...
