I had a cashier accidentally put a half inch long ball point pen line on the cuff of a white dress shirt. I went in the office and put some alcohol based hand sanitizer on the mark and rubbed it for a few moments. When the spot dried, very rapidly I'd add, the ink mark was gone.

Additionally, I've used acetone to remove those prices from the soles of shoes.

Pro tip: don't use hand sanitizer anywhere near wood.

Orange waterless hand cleaner is also great on ink and other stains. I have bought jackets for my kids with other names written on the tag. The hand cleaner knocks it out

Yeah, I'd just like to know if that overcoat is a bust and if I'll just have to live with the cuffs on the trench.

When I was a child, I got some hand sanitizer on my wood. I also would not recommend it.

    I won't.

There ain't nothin' sanitary about my wood, nor do I want there to be. So I've never really had occasion to sanitize my wood.

    Good pro-tip, though, guys.

Isn't this supposed to be about Thrift Finds and Bragging and what not? Shouldn't stain removal talk be in the Stain Removal thread? Just saying... Oh Look what I found and am now Bragging about....

I'm thinking the thrift thread has turned into a sub-culture in SF. I'm wondering if we should see about turning it into a sub-board on SF like SW&D and we could have different threads within the thrift section. Thoughts?

Haha, awesome. I'd start the germaphobe thread -- how to deal with the sneezing hoards, how to approach someone about covering their mouth/not rubbing their coats into your face when politely shoving you aside, the best kind of UV light to zap your shoes with, etc.

    Other topics:

    - Stafford: Just...Why.
    - Thrift Dreams
    - MILFS: Ignore or Pursue?

That Canali is awesome! If only my size. I am a big fan of yellow, I found some yellow HF pants, too big for me and can't get rid of them, but super cool! Nice finds.

That made me a little uncomfortable.

Yeah, that could work. Have the main thread about Thrift and Bragging and have additional threads attached to it. Like.. "Buy My Thrift Items" a place to mainly place your thrift finds on there and have people buy them (something like that). "How to get crap removed from my Thrift find" no need for explaination. "Here's my Thrift Outfit" you wearing your outfit made from all your thrift finds. I don't know.... Work in Progress, HA!
