Lovin' it. You mind if I use that line?
Actually saw a pair of Kiton pants, marked down to 140 the other day. Considered getting it for my dad since it was a 36.
Picked up a Yohji Yanomato sweater kimono thing, Oxxford suit in 43R and Enrico Isaia jacket this past week.
I have some 36 zenga pants for your dad that will be much more affordable!
I don't know what the consensus is regarding bespoke / MTM suits from Hong Kong tailors that end up in the thrift stores. I come across them regularly. They may be made of nice fabric and have nice details, but I haven't been impressed enough to actually buy any of them. They just seem unremarkable once you get them in your hands. I'm also pretty sure there is no demand for them on eBay or any of the online forums. Does anybody have any firsthand experience on the subject?
I pass them up all the time. Most feel like they're made from sandpaper and are 15+ years old, though. The only piece of HK custom stuff I liked enough to buy was a pair of trousers made by WW Chan.
My two finds today - both are available in my (brand new) Etsy store.
After cleaning and brushing the shoes, I am willing to say, confirmed shell cordovan, but I have an email in to Florsheim, nonetheless.
I think if you like it enough to wear it, go for it, i wouldnt buy them to flip though.
Klobber thanks for the insight and tben I appreciate the follow up and next time I won't write a reply after happy hour! I can see that on a cursory look at my post, as Klobber mentioned, it could be viewed as Zegna suits, as opposed to Zegna fabric.
Advice for future postings and possible listings, I am assuming that the suits and sportcoats should be listed as "Made with XXXXX fabric" and not Zegna tropical wool by itself which is where the confusion came from, correct?
Also, any suggestions on "marketing" six same size suit/sc's made in Hong Kong...package deal, discount on multiple purchase, buy two get one free? The Faconnable Tailluer, from what I could find searching was made either by Canali or Cantarelli (who has made RLPL stuff in the past) and can stand on its own.
"Senior member" status means 100 posts. If you saw the moronic crap I've been posting on Creepy Sartorialist thread, you'd understand quickly that "Senior Member" in some cases can translate to "more wasted time than normal people." Just sayin'. Also, there's this:
Spoiler: Warning: Spoiler! Zenga SC Blue
Those pants and suit aren't Zenga. They're Zegna. Spoo could you verify?
In all seriousness, I typically see these referred to as "[BRAND HERE] Zegna Cloth" or something close. Like you might see "Daniel Cremieux Loro Piana."
A few of yesterday's finds.

Went into Century 21 for the first time after joining this forum, they have lots of great stuff. Picked up a pair of boots from Rag & Bone, a wool cardigan from a Brand called Rag Recycle (75% off). Like thrifting, with frequent visits, I am sure you could find some good deals. Also saw lots of pantherella socks at 9.99. Pm me if you need a proxy.
I saw a pretty funny, fake Brooks Brothers label. Same font and pattern as this, but the "s" in each word was a cursive "s" with the other letters staying normal. Also had "made in Hong Kong" underneath it.
Separate names with a comma.
