Buying that on a half price day just to wear as a robe at home would be worth it for the laughs.

I've seen one just like that blue one here... Several times in fact since nobody wants to buy it
lol8%5B1%5D.gif

 Actually, I was back at that store today, and someone had bought both! I imagine they're in for a nice surprise though - there are bad damages to both of them (e.g. large fabric rips) - but they may not care for their purposes!

Three stores today, only two pickups - Florsheim shell longwings in 8D and a Brooks Brothers Brookstweed scottish shetland 3/2 in 40R. The Brookstweed came from a HUGE haul of 40R Brooks Brothers stuff - twelve or thirteen suits and three or four SC's. Good mix of 3/2, 2 button, pleats, flat fronts... but in every single case either there were moth holes or plain undesirable styling (2 button with pleated pants) - might sell but I wasn't risking it for what I think was mid-80's stuff. Checked that tweed over multiple times... I won't find the hole until I'm measuring it, probably. :brick:

I assume nobody wants to see the tweed, but the shoes I'm going to do before and after pics of as a case in point about how everyone should not ignore beat-up awful looking shoes!

Man, I just missed a home run today. Guess I hit a double instead. Shirts I passed on:

Burberry Prorsum (runway shirt)
Michael Bastian
Ralph Lauren Purple Labelx2
Dolce & Gabanna
Gucci
Paul Smith
Canali super 120's suit

All had damage, had to leave all of it :( So sad...

What I did get:
RLPL linen shirt
Robert Graham shirt
RRL shirt
Canali shirt
Paul Smith shirt
Helmut Lang black real leather suede blazer... this needs to be cleaned somehow, any suggestions? The leather is super soft / fine, it's amazing.
NWT Helmut Lang double breasted overcoat... this is old too, not the recent made in China designed by god knows who crap. 90 wool 10 cashmere. Too bad I accidentally ripped the tag off, LOL.
NWOT Brooks Brothers slim fit linen military shirt
Hugo Boss overcoat

EDIT: Guys please hold on the PM's!!! This mean's don't PM ME. Wait until I get more info on them. I am not taking dibs. I don't even know how many there are. my computer is going to explode. Please stop. Please....

Soooo found a guy with some nice suits he's trying to get rid of (more than normal thrifting prices). Some of you may have heard of them, think he said they were called Kite-in or Kyte-on.

This would be my first (non-mens wearhouse) suit purchase. Do you guys have any tips for checking out suits or anything kiton specific?
Obviously, look for damage and check fit. I was going to bring a dress shirt and dress shoes to help check fit. I'm not sure how many he has, but its more than a few. If theres any interest, I can try to proxy for you. He said they are 42 jacket and about 33/34 waist.

Unfortunately, I can't head over there until saturday. I think I may go crazy waiting that long

Today was a bit of a flop. Made it out with a mere Zegna sportcoat. Mainline, pretty recent. Made for Neiman Marcus. Trofeo fabric. 3 btn. Side vented. Tagged a Eu. 60 but fits like a US 48 R. It's available if anyone wants it.

Like the fabric. Measurements? I technically a 46L, but if that thing is in the ballpark, I forsee a use for it.

I picked up one of these about a year ago. It happens.
But Mainy is an incredible thrifter.

Wow! Was this at a thrift? Prorsum and Bastian?! What was wrong with them? Minor stains or tiny holes that aren't too noticeable aren't a big deal.

I'd say it fits between a 46 and 48. In between a R and L in length.

Chest: 24"
Shoulders: 20"
Sleeves: 25" with 1" to let out
Length (TOC): 34"

Pit staining on the prorsum shirt, they wanted 20 bucks for it and it's all as is so I didn't feel like messing with it. Bastian shirt had been dry cleaned to death... everything else had stains, and they wanted like 10 bucks a shirt. I just didn't feel like gambling on them.
