    Whoa, what!?!

Dang, that's awesome! I just hate to think what suits/jackets/outerwear was missed. That's the first section I hit when I go to a thrift.

I'm a little confused by this repeated "truism" in this thread.

Do people really think that scamming exists on eBay and not on SF? That SF is that much more 'seller-friendly'?

knock on wood, I've done about 1000 transactions on SF, maybe more, never one single problem.

    Rock solid.

How many problems (estimate) have you had on eBay comparatively?

Not so much the scamming, but when eBay started charging fees on shipping....that did it for me. I sold an item recently for a Best Offer of $40.00 plus shipping. By the time eBay/Pay Pal was done, I paid almost $8 in fees. Needless to say I try my best to sell stuff here or on AAAC before I move it to eBay.

I definitely understand that. My experience overall between eBay and SF on the new B&S has been about equal - different pros and cons to both.

FMA are you kidding? Looks like I've had some sort of Meg Whitman guardian angel.

Anyway, just curious why people were so loyal to the new B&S vs eBay. Threak derail over.

Of course, I will proxy all the stuff for you smaller guys. The huge haul wifey found pays for everything . She also scored Loro Piana linens - she is making pillow cases for sofa out of it already, I fucking love that woman!

Spoo, Brian, you guys are in my mind when I thrift.

I just worried that the place will be picked off - probably what happened is regular thrifters found, called their chums, they went down, found, they called their chums ... my wife said the place was crawling. I am really really worried :(

Brooks Brothers? Will have to wait and see, most donations Saks, NM, Gucci shirt came from outlet. Maybe it is a consignment store that went bust and did tax deductable donations? Who knows. One of the items has UK price tags in sterling :puzzled:, did not know our British friends could donate for US taxes.
