There is an army of Digmenow's out there. I saw one a few weeks back.
I have a navy blue Gap field jacket. Am I doing it wrong?
I thrifted a Gap sweatshirt for a dollar which is perfect for under my winter coat when shoveling snow and my girlfriend made fun of me for buying Gap
Just a family of shirts today:
RL Polo 17"x36.5", contrast collar, made in HK, Estate, Custom fit, beautiful MOP buttons, no polo player
RL Polo 17"x34", hot pink, made in HK, Regent, Classic fit, beautiful MOP buttons, no polo player
RL Polo 17"x34", baby-blue stripes, made in HK, Estate, Custom fit, beautiful MOP buttons, no polo player
Zegna, 17.75"x34.5", chest pocket, beautiful thick MOP buttons
Since none fit me, they are all available! Please enquire within if anything strikes your fancy !
As they say, if it looks good ....
I took several hits when I debuted it for the light colored (coloured /UK) suede elbow patches. It's actually LE Direct Merchandise so I guess it's from the internet. I paid less than $10 for it at GW. It may have been senior citizen's day but I can't be sure.
We are legion.
I bought electric blue D-1 Dockers chinos on markdown for $15 at Macy's last Summer. DOCKERS I tellz ya!
The Target by me was a bust but they did have some Docker K-1 pants for $13.99, retail price $150-$215 for Dockers! Almost picked up a few pairs to toss on the bay. They seem to be selling in the $30-$60 range so might have to grab a few if they are still there the next time around
My TJ Maxx has probably 50 or 60 pairs of those Dockers K1s going for $16, originally tagged $200. They all have the worst phony distressing though. Some of them look like they've been covered in car grease. The D1s are decent chinos, especially the "soft" variety. Low priced, reasonably slim, and the rise isn't too short.
Another thrift store run:
Armani Le Collezioni, White Button Down
Burberry, Interesting Red/Black woven fabric button down
Lanvin for Hathaway white/blue stripe patter button down (Does anyone know anything about these)
All are availiable, including the jacket I posted earlier.
I've been seeing the weirdest shit at TJ's lately. Like $1295 RLPL Cashmeres marked down to $500 and Valentino scarves, various Faconnable items, etc all of which are things no one around here who shops at TJ's would ever buy (or even knows wtf they are for that matter). I'm waiting for some major markdowns!
its all relative, the nicest suit i have is Boss Selection super 190 with real horn butons, and i have a couple of Brionis and a some Canali Executive lines,on the other hand i have had Rogers and Advents and they sounded like shit.so its not all black and white, but anyway to each his own
I agree on the electric blue - a very wise and fashion forward color.
Dockers = , Thrift store Dockers complete with pleats = . Mostly horrible fits, quality below Gap even, I just do not get Dockers. If they came out with some more modern fits, then maybe I will give them respeck. That said, one cannot complain when a new pair goes for a similar price to a Subway meal complete with fountain drink and bag of chips.
Boss Selection is not bad at all, some of their suits are also fully canvassed. However, pay closer inspection to the Brioni and you will see a big difference in the garment quality. Canali is also made to a higher standard than Boss Selection.
If the Boss Selection is your favourite looking suit, sure, perhaps you prefer the cut and/or styling. The Boss suit also no doubt uses the high end Loro Piana fabric, so it is probably a nice looking piece.
Are the K1's the ones that look like they could be Bills Khakis? I've seen some at TJ Maxx that looked nicer than your run of the mill Dockers.
Bamps for great justice.
I came across this cool Southwick herringbone SC today, 42L with great wooden buttons, the first I've ever seen like that (they look like little tree stumps). I left it behind, but will post pics and maybe grab if anyone's interested.
