That's a tough question to answer. The coat buttons like a man's with the toggles attached to the right side with the left closing over top. Women's clothing closes in the opposite manner...usually.

That said, the one you linked on ebay certainly looks rather effeminate and the shoulder measurement of only 18" for an XL coat suggests a woman's size for sure. It's just those damned toggles on the wrong side that's confusing.

Anything for the Spoo. There were two identical ties, striped with turquoise, white, and some other color(s).

^^ Yup. RLPL has stuff made in Italy and England. Their English made suits seem to be more common over the Italian made ones and visa-versa for shirts.

Thanks, I guess I've only seen the Made in Italy ones then. Went to a new spot for the first time this weekend (been driving by it and never knew it for the past few months) and picked up this, a J.Press shirt and a really nice BB Italian Tan Camelhair. A little behind with the pics/posting due to New Years.

Ugh, damnit. I was tempted to but the salvation armies were running 1/2 off clothes/shoes/homewares today. I haven't ever seen it so crowded. The entire staff was grumpy as hell and not dealing with anyone. I will for sure try it the next time though.

What's the size on that JPress? (Christmas money and a paid clerkship will be my ruin, seriously)

There's also Made in USA RLPL shirts... at least, I saw a RLPL tux shirt once. No reason to think it was fake, either.

I just came back from a thrift store run, and I want to ask you guys something. I picked up this jacket; the label says "Dormeuil London", and I bought it because it looked and felt really good, and it fit me like a glove, plus it was very cheap. I had never heard of Dormeuil, but a quick web search revealed that it appears to be a well regarded cloth manufacturer. Now, I undestand this is a french company, why does it say London? And why is the jacket actually made by them, aren't they like the guys who sell fabric to other companies to make their product?
From what I can gather with my unexpert pinch test the jacket is not canvassed.
What do you think, is it something to be extra happy about or just your normal everyday thrift store buy? (Well, I'm already very happy because I really like the jacket, but you know.)

Here's a picture of the label:

Someone is selling only the right shoe only on ebay, thought this was funny. They've relisted it several times. Maybe with enough polish you could make them the same color. LOL
