Agreed. The scripting is painful in the Texas version. That crazy guy with the moustache is the worst offender...they're just trying to make him a Texas version of Barry.

Went to a thrift to see if a suit and pants were still available for another SF member. Pants were there but the suit was gone. Sorry Will. Looked around but nothing was worthwhile since I was last there 2 days ago.

Afterwards I went to a TJ Maxx and Marshalls in the high rent district in my area. (This is around Tysons mall to my DC peeps). Lots of premium stuff, but also high prices. Here’s what I can recollect:
    TJMaxx
-A RL Polo olive SC with a quilted vest that snapped on inside it. Also, this coat had patches on the elbows. Dbl vented. 42L. Red clearanced to $169.
-A RL Polo hunting type coat (dark blue and green). Had a corduroy collar. Nice lining inside. Red clearance to $269, I think.
-A lot of Jack Spade SC and shirts. The coats were generally around $100 and the shirts $50-$60. Don’t know much about Jack Spade only that I’ve seen his ads in some mags.
-Some Theory SCs generally around $100 red clearance.
-Gitman gold shirts red clearance to $39.
-A lot of RL Polo dress shirts clearance to $39. These are the ones w/o the horse guy on them.
    Marshalls:
-A Corneliani suit. 44R or 46R. I think it was $599; no clearance.
-D&G shirts. Red clearance around $60-70
-Brioni pants. These were canvassy fabric jeans. Sizes were 36-38 waists. Tans and olive. Red Clearance $69.
    -Same Theory stuff as above.
-Maybe more Jack Spade shirts than at TJ Maxx. Still some coats.
-The ties that had the security sensor were not all that great. Elie Tahari and CK from what I can remember.

Here's those Samuelsohn MTM, along with the measurements. The green flannel was gone, but I grabbed the navy windowpane and the blue birdseye suits. The windowpane is especially nice, made of a wool cashmere Loro Piana fabric. They both measure about the same:

    Shoulders 19.5
    Chest 23
    Length 30.5
    Sleeve 25
    Trousers: 39W x 30L

Sucks because the pants fit my 46R frame, but the jackets are too small. Anyone who might be interested? Hit me with a PM. :spam:

Wow... that blue windowpane is gorgeous... Too bad it's like a size too big for me. [IMG]

Dang, same here. I'm down to a small 44 R or a true 42 R these days. That windowpane is killer!

I've come off a bit of a thrifting dry spell. Not a huge haul today, but the one thing I did get was one of my best finds ever: A pair of Church's custom grade shoes, in my size, in reasonably good condition, for $10. Not the best pic, they look a lot nicer now I've polished both of them. :slayer:

Wow, lots of interest in that Samuelsohn windowpane... I'm probably the only one not envious, because as it happens, I have a Samuelsohn in my closet that's either that same fabric or something really really similar. :hide:

80 bucks off Ebay (long time ago), ~95 in alterations, but well worth it because it's now one of my favorite suits.

I like him. Just discovered "Storage Wars" over the last few days. Of course we like it - it's about finding hidden treasures. Good show.
