I had one quite similar awhile back that also didn't have the signature strip and I asked for verification and several posters said they had similar ones without signature strips. Apparently it was common on the older Ferragamo ties, and it looks pretty much like mine did, so it looks legit to me. I'm admittedly no expert though, so take it with a grain of salt. Here's mine...mine had the content tag on the small end with the content info that yours has on the name strip.

This one is fake though, right? The signature doesn't look correct on the small end.

Despite being a 38, I'm intent on making this work. Sorry.

    Some nice finds coming in.

I wont be thrifting for about a month until I clear out the reckless abundance that exists in boxes and my wardrobe.

As much as I hate eBay, looks like I will be making some $$$ here.

BTW - anyone with a want of 16-16.5 / L shirts, I have 8 really great ones. On eBay I figure all 8 would score $150, but for any member here, your $90 will score the lot. 4 recent NWOT Zegna's, 1 Ralph Lauren Black Label, 1 Etro in NWOT, 1 Armani, 1 Thomas Pink in NWOT. This will help me as well in reducing my listing numbers on eBay.

BTW 2 - Also if anyone wants a Gucci BNWT Black suit in size 48L, let me know. I would normally want min $600 for this, but to a member here, it is yours for $400 or nearest offer. I bought it at Barneys last year, but it is too big and not worth tailoring costs.

Sorry, the shirts all fit so I'm keeping them (except for the H&K and its already spoken for) - because I was pressed for time, I really only looked for stuff that fit me.

The T&A jackets are too long in the body and sleeve but alterations would cost a bit because the sleeves have working buttonholes, so I'm probably putting those up on eBay - they are 41Ls.

Dropped in today after yesterday's mega-sale, which has proven to be my best strategy so far. All the old stuff cleared away, I found two pair of Brooks Brothers 'Made in Great Britain' monks, one black, one brown. I know this gets asked a lot, but can someone tell me who makes them?

Pics after the polish dries. :slayer:

    P.S. Dat Brioni!

They're marked size 42; both fit me perfectly. I have some black double monks already, so I might sell the black ones, though they're the most shiny. :D

Really nice deal for someone in that size, would be gone if it was my size, and imo you should get $200 easy on ebay prob closer to $250 if you are not in a rush and use BIN OBO.

Dang. I'm curious to see them though. Single monk?

Hey, thanks for your help...here they are pre-polish. I've spoiler tagged all the markings. Both appear to be the same shoe, though the heels look different, due to some futzing around, I guess.

    Hmm....
