Slim pickins today. Figured out what SSSSSS mean on a coat. It's Bill Blass! Should have put an A in front of all those S's. lol.

Just this Chas Tyrwhitt shirt, 17 x 37, slim fit, spread collar. However, french cuffs. Would be interested in trading for a similar, thin fabric shirt. my size is 16 x 32/33 or 16 x 33.

Came up to the suit racks today and saw two NWT suits of decent looking fabric hanging there, basting still in place and then I saw they were JAB. I almost got them as present for a couple people. Maybe I'll go back tomorrow. They were brand spankin' new.

However I did walk out with these gorgeously soft flannel FU orange pants. Made in Italy by JB Britches for Nordstroms using the Trabaldo Togna wool mill. The only name I recognize is Nordstroms out of all of that but who cares? These motherf'ers are baller. Heads are going to explode when I wear them to work and, to paraphrase Conan, this is what's good in life.

Those Red Wings are so bad ass I'm considering firing even though I'm 9 1/2. Great price on those.

Are Tom James worth picking up? I saw a few Executive Collection for Tom James suits last weekend that seemed okay.

I usually don't unless they're one of their higher end lines and/or fabric, and are really recent, but even then I often pass (I've flipped 3 SCs that were all 2003 or newer and were made from Holland and Sherry fabric. Two went for ok amounts, and the third - the least desirable design - was break-even). if they're for you then sure, with the same qualifications above.

I thnk the SSSSSS label is for the recently-shuttered Sym's.

They bought from whoever and then relabeled everything.

    Couple of interesting things today:

Steven Alan half-button-up ls shirt, size M

Brooks Brothers custom ordered 3/2 sack... with side vents. Really interesting fabric, but the best part is it's dated 1964 and sports quite the old label. The custom tag is stamped 'll wool" - if this is all wool it's probably about the softest I've ever felt, I still think it might be a cashmere blend or something. Pit to pit is 22 inches so around a size 40, not sure of the length. <3 wish it fit me. :(
