I spent about 20 minutes going all over a Goodwill trying to find the pants to a double-breasted Oxxford suit coat. Never did find them...

That's the worst. I'd hate to pick up the jacket at that point, because you have zero idea how the pants are. On a lesser scale, I saw an HSM Golden Trumpeter in my size the other day, but never found the pants. I just couldn't bring myself to spend the cash (it was a navy w/ gold pinstripes, so not my cup of tea as an orphan) without knowing what the pants looked like.

    Makes perfect sense

I think so, but I have to say I am not impressed by the quality of mens pants from 99.9% of brands. Outside of Incotex and Kiton, I actually think pants by any brand exhibit at best mediocre tailoring.

My wife knows a quality garment so one day I gave her a test. What pair of slacks is better, Zanella or Loro Piana (the real deal brand)? She could not tell them apart. She was correct, because I certainly could not tell them apart either, even the stiching was the same, every detail was a machined like copy and paste. I knew they were both authentic, both bought at Saks, both mediocre quality. But Loro Piana are not generally considered a sub par brand, and of course, they are not - except for shirts and pants, both meh...

Hit up a local discount store that always carries high end brands today as they were having an 80% off all previously marked down items. Managed to snag this BNWT 56EU Isaia Napoli Aquaspider tux at a huge discount. Not my size so I'll have to flip this one.

Wow... If that were a size or two smaller I'd be trying to figure out how to meet your price. Gorgeous.

Two weeks ago, I found a 46L Purple label cashmere suit jacket, It turn the store upside down but couldn't find the matching pants. On Friday, I went back to the store and the pants were starring me right in the eyes. The sad story is the jacket is already sold on ebay, ugh
