After a single fruitless stop yesterday, had a decent shoe day:

Florsheim Royal Imperial Longwings, size 9? (the store marked them as that, can't find it inside) size 8 1/2 D (found it)
(too small for me, up for sale)

Florsheim Imperials, size 10 (shell, correct?)

and I also grabbed these because they seemed decent for $4 and my size
vintage Nunn Bush made in the USA longwings, size 10

also found an LG dehumidifier that we need for our basement for $12

Take them outside into direct sunlight and let the sun play on the inside (where all the numbers would be) at different angles. Often you can see the size that way. It is hard to get the money for shoes if you don't know the size.

There is no equivalent store in america to marks and spencer. They made excellent quality stuff for the price, pity the credit crunch came and destroyed that.

Only pick up today was a Head Squash racket. I've often contemplated taking up Squash, so now I have a racket if I do. Several passes today. Clothes seemed really picked over.

One store today, lots of near misses but nothing truly impressive.
    Amazing Zanella...

Picked up a NWT solid blue no-logo-on-chest Brooks Brothers Country Club polo in L, and these Bills... what the HECK they are I don't know. Any ideas? They're tagged waist 36, model 2476, fit "GP" - wtf?! The tag is just the normal Bills Khakis, I imagine they're a limited edition but they have no tag. The back pockets have flaps AND button loops too, but that front closure... odd, odd, odd.

Interesting day thrifting. My lack of pictures due to my camera sucking, I will take PICS of all relevant items when I get a new camera on Monday.

    What I purchased:
    - Polo Ralph Lauren Leather Bomber Jacket XXL
    - 4 X Thomas Pink shirts SZ 17
    - 1 X Turnbull and Asser shirt SZ 17
    - 1 X Alexander Mcqueen Dark Olive designer shirt SZ M (Brilliant, cool shirt)
    - Ralph Ralph Lauren Cargo Pants SZ 40
    - Hickey Freeman Cream Pants SZ 38 NWT *
    - Gianni Versace Gray Herringbone style pants with tweed style fabric, SZ 56, NWT

    * I come across Hickey Freeman occasionally, usually older stuff. Never come across a NWT Hickey Freeman item, let alone one that is from a very very recent collection. At $7.49, this is the steal of the decade. It is up for grabs for whomever wants it, with a little profit or good trade for me of course ;).

The most curious find of the day causing a half hour discussion with my wife:

Chanel blazer / odd suit jacket.

I am not an expert with Chanel clothing, mainly because they only make woman's clothing. But my wife found a suit style jacket that was bat shit crazy. It was a periwinkle color and had lapels that would have impressed Batman. These things shot out at 60 degrees ending just shy of the shoulder pad. Never seen peak lapels go that high. My wife tried it on, but the aggressive styling on the jacket made it kind of a butch lesbian's garment. I inspected the size tags, and it read 46. Wierd huh? Almost made me think it was a minature dude's jacket, but Chanel dont do menswear. Could be a counterfeit, but there were no other Chanel clothing to act as a point of reference. My wife and I had a decent discussion over the jacket, she was convinced it was a womans garment. I ended up agreeing with her, the sizing though is wierd. It was waaaaaaaay too expensive to purchase out of curiosity and then discuss its aesthetics with SF.

Very nice jacket. I am on the search for a similar jacket. I found one that was made by GAP but am still looking for a better quality one.
Out of curiosity, was the photo taken at the park where you can watch airplanes off of 176 (dorsey road)?

Those places are hit or miss. There is one that I go to at the beach which is a small fishing community. Last summer I got some northface t-shirts (for the gym), a northface hoodie, and some glassware. I would say it is definitely worth a shot.
