Hopefully getting a Springfield M1911 by Christmas, but probably won't be carrying it to the thrift shops.

I have a Kimber 1911, amazing gun. But it's definitely not something I carry around

Kimber makes a good looking 1911 and overall quality is good. Last few I have put my hands on in a gun shop have had poor slide to frame fit as well as sloppy barrel lockup. Looking into another 1911 leaning toward an sti.

That's a shame. Were they recently made? I bought mine around four years ago.

Anyone know the quality of di benedetto? I picked up a nice grey wool/cashmere jacket with the di benedetto tag at the local thrift for $12. Made in USA. I searched this site and the web a bit and only came up with a few things, but no history or idea of value / quality. Any ideas?

I also found a nice pair of Filson Wool pants that look vintage and in perfect shape for $8.

    Thanks!

I see that brand from time to time and I pass on in. Qualiity wise it seems like one of the brands out the made to sound expensive and it really isn't. If you like the looks of the jacket and it fits you all the better.

Great find on the FIlson...I've never found anything by them.

Every thread on SF gets derailed, I highly doubt the conversation would have continued regardless.

I love this thread! Since the switchover to the new forum, this is actually the only thread I read daily. With that being said, +1 major time for MattR. Can't wait to get my first Hickey Freeman suit (and it looks like all the pant stains are going to come out). Thanks again for going back and picking it up!!!

Found a cool pair of great condition Billy Reid penny loafers...in my size for $4 sweet. Also a Loro Piana very light gray button up shirt and finally found a Harris Tweed in my size, every one I seem to find is either 48 or 36 for some reason. Oh and a very cool pretty recent Burberry multi color sport coat. I travel a lot and had been looking for a jacket that goes with about everything....score.

Nice pickup on the Loro Piana Shirt. Have seen a few of those (never in my size 14.5) but they are really nice shirts! Finding a lot of 36 Harris Tweeds!? Any 36S? [IMG]

Below (instead of replying in a new thread) - Yes I know it is hard, but he finds a lot of 36 he said so figured I'd ask :) I can never find 36 anything.

I think anything is hard to find in 36S. Maybe if you were in Asia..
