I had a vintage Harris Tweed jacket that I posted on the Bay and wanted $40 shipped, no bites. It is a pretty decent jacket, single vent, hand tailored in the U.S., and herringbone. They seems to be a hit or a miss, a miss in my case. Anyway, I picked up a vintage Made in Scotland lambswool sweater from John Wanamaker and a casual Burberry shirt in my size.

Passed on a couple of RLPL shirts because they were $24 a piece and corduroy. Also passed on a Missoni SC and a couple of Golden Fleece suits due to price. Do you sometimes just buy things because of the label, regardless of the look?

Gold Fleece might be good pickup if recent. For personal use I'd say $50-$80 or below, for flipping purposes I'd say 30 or below.

Sorry for the gratuitous bump. But can anyone help? Bueller?

So, I mentioned the other day I found an alleged Versace silk scarf the other day. Here are some (******) photos. Can anyone help ID it as real or fake? Thanks!
This thing is pretty big. I measured it at 33"x33".

Contact Spoo, he knows Versace better than anyone here.

I would vouch it is at least based on something real by Versace, I have seen that pattern before in the 90's. The only thing is that label is not consistent with that period.

Chances are it is real, although something about the quality of the seams makes me think it is fakeroo. Im 60/40 in a real vote. If you thrifted it though, I dont see the big deal unless you are hoping for some $$$

$75 a piece for what I believe was a couple of 42L s. They were to large for me and I wear a 38. They were extremely nice though, but they would not be for personal use.

Has signs of being real to my untrained eye. That Versace tag is pretty recent and it has hand rolled edges. I'm no expert, though. As Klobber said, Spoo would know best.

Will do. Thanks!

Dude, tell me that unusually subdued and size 50-ish Etro isn't excessively long.

You tell me now!

Its real. Circa 2006-2008. Should be closer to 35 or 36 inches though. You should be able to get about $75 or so on eBay. Check out my current Versace silk scarves in my link in my sig and try and duplicate the text and photos, list it around Thursday 6:45pm EST to piggyback my Versace followers. :) Try "Versace Atelier Couture Yellow Gold Greek Key Silk Shawl Scarf" or something. Best of luck.

I found a baby blue "Net Jets" Loro Piana tie. Nicely structured and of course the fabric itself is very nice. I've done some searching. Unless I'm looking in the wrong place, I can't seem to find too many Loro Piana ties. What are the chances that -- Warren Buffet endorsement aside -- I found something of actual value? Appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

Those are 100% cashmere, and usually sell on eBay for about a hundred bucks, sometimes more with the box.

Sadly they had no more jackets in the back so the jacket probably went to another store.

Sorry, buddy, but I think there is a North Carolina General Statute which requires that.
