About those BB Peal monkstraps, C&J calls them "monktons".
Nice pickup at a not-so-cheap shop today - paid 25 bucks for this damn tie but still, I'm a sucker for those six-folds. First Borrelli tie in the wild, too.
Also... NWT Marcoliani socks. There are more where these came from. Tons more, in cotton/nylon, wool/nylon, and plain wool. 2/3 charcoal/black color families, 1/3 beige color family, various patterns in both. Anyone ever try to sell these? They look to retail for $29 a pair but e*bay sales are nearly nonexistent. Looking at them now they're pretty nice, I might pick up a couple more for myself.
How much were the Marcolinis?
Using watchpiece in an attempt to hypnotise. You are feeling sleepy, I want you to imagine a pasture with cows, in three seconds you will feel very sleepy. Right, you are now asleep, now listen to me:
you do not want that tie, you do not want that tie, you do not want that tie.
Nice score and let me know if my hypnosis worked
Nice find on that Borrelli.
are the socks cheap?
Eh - I think I'll go ahead and say that I'd only offer these cheap in this thread so I don't mind revealing cost (especially since I already decided to pick up a few more for myself).
They're $6.41 a pair (including tax). Just enough that I wasn't about to go hog wild on them with no possibility of return. I could probably do something like ten bucks a pair shipped for guys on this thread, figuring 2.50 or so for postage and leaving me a buck for time and gas. Not a hugely dramatic or bold-colored selection, but very very business-dress appropriate in general.
Got a mint charcoal pinstriped oxxford recent suit in 48L as well as a charvet tie today
Both very good scores.
@#%&@#*@# YOU HAVE PM
Nope, that was the first thing I looked for myself. Nothing crazy patternwise, mostly some variation on black, charcoal or black & grey, or mid-brown. Not even any light beige or dark browns, just the mid-browns and black/charcoal stuff. I think there were herringbones, windowpanes, ribs, maybe a birdseye of some sort, pindot... pretty much all very business-wear appropriate.
Last night I found a nice Ermenegildo Zenga -Soft- suit at the thrift store. It is made in Switzerland from 100% Wool. I am not very familiar with the Soft line. Any help would be great. I will add details tonight on sizing.
Picked up a few pairs of dockers d1 at marshalls for about 15 bucks each. They fit as good as incos/mabi. Also grabbed two pairs of 100% wool incos at daffys in sizes 40 and 42US. Drop me a pm if your interested in the incos. And I will get other messages, just takes some time.
