Not a bad day today. I lett a lot of stuff behind because I wasn't sure about it. This included a pair of J&M Ambassador loafers, some Paul Smith driving shoes, and a couple of Gianni Versace ties. These looked vintage, with the white label with black writing and pattern, and had riotous designs. However they were $20 each, and creased. Worth picking up tomorrow to flip, do you reckon?
Anyway, here is what I did go for:
EZ suit, 54R
Hilditch and Key shirt, FC
Brooks Brothers shirt
Cerutti 1881 pants.
Spoiler: Warning: Spoiler!
First two are up FSOT. Suit was a steal so I'm willing to do a great deal on it.
I know, stooopid right?
its not just a plain white though its textured in vertical stripe.
Since you posted 17.5 I got dibs pending pix.
Guys, to raise money for Movember donations, I am having a truly massive sale of the clothes that are now too big for me, plus some nice op shop finds. The first of many threads is here, full of suits and jackets with all those brands we love. Shipping is at cost for Aussie members; Melbourne members are welcome to pick up. I appreciate your support.
I like the looks of that - what size is it and is it available?
@ODGuy - those are some excellent finds.
Last week I thought it would be good karma to leave an oxxford being, today I found three more. Also an orvis shawl collar cardigan and a pendleton sports coat.
The oxxfords seem to be sizes 42-43, but I am a 44 and one or two fits very well. Here are some pics of one of them. Drop me a pm if your interested in the one pictured..
This is very nice!
After a couple months of drought had a very good day today. Picked up 3 workhorse Britches of Georgetown suits (DC area SFers know the shop) and a Brooks Brothers Golden Fleece grey with purple pinstripe. Only camera is iPhone so this is the only pic I'm going to take.
Also picked up:
a "vintage" brownish/grey overcoat made of "rare Mongolian cashmere" and wool. Not sure the mix. Very nice.
grey Canali pants, probably orphaned but still very nice.
I also picked up another couple of A Man Hing Cheong bespoke suits. Probable size 44 but I haven't measured yet. Not sure why I keep finding them. One is blue/black nailhead and the other is a blue I cannot describe. These are both up for trade if anyone is interested. PM if you want pics, keeping in mind same iPhone garbage as above.
Picked up a very nice vintage charcoal harring bone patterned top coat today. Labeled as Worsted & Cashmere by E. De Montagnac & Fils with a registration number as well as other union labels. Inside pocket is labeled as Taylored Expressly for Kennedy's. Forgive the terrible pictures. Anyway - coat fits like a dream and I think its rather nice. Anyone have any history on the maker? Google doesn't return much aside from one result from a past post on StyleForum.
I had an akward moment yesterday at the thrifts. Walked up on a guy that was trying on womens high heels. He quickly put them down and took off for the other side of the store.
Also picked up a nice pair of Allen Edmonds Ashland 9.5 d short wing bluchers. Available
