i hope he takes your offer.. i shotgun any kiton in 42R
Any chance that's a troll? lol
Anyhow, a whole bunch of stores yesterday gave up just this:
Bostonian vintage #8 shell longwings, size 11C. Coupled with the Florsheim #8 shell longwings in 10.5C I found recently, I sure hope there's a couple of (slightly) narrow-footed people out there!
Found a Zegna pajama top but couldn't find the pants so I left it. Recently had the same thing happen with a NWT Brooks PJ set too... I'm cursed, it seems. I wear boxers to bed (long story) so I'm cool with preworn PJ's... not that I've ever found any complete.
Did see some evidence that a Brooks store had donated a bunch of NWT stuff to one shop, so I've noted that for future reference. Nothing spectacular, just a bunch of khakis, cords and cotton sweaters - I assume all were last year's. Too risky to try to flip, BB stuff is just so random and often nearly unsellable at any decent price.
Wyatt Earp's personal photo album for $50! http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-wyatt-earp-20111023,0,7145802,full.story
Should be a quick flip for them.
Been lurking, learning and enjoying for a while. Would appreciate any knowledgeable Gucci tie person giving an opinion on whether this one is authentic? Searched but haven't found one like it. To me, the horse heads look a bit cartoonish, but the tie is well-made. Lining is solid navy silk. Will try posing pic or link here. Thanks in advance for your input.

Appears real. But real ugly too.
Thanks for opinion--And I agree it's ugly!
Pajamas is where I drawn the line.
Last year I found a whole pajama wardrobe, a couple Saville Row firms (like maybe Huntsman and one other, not sure if they were licensed or not), Charvet, and a really nice robe, but they were fairly used and just kinda icked me out.
Is Brooks that undesirable?
Steve Smith sells lots of NWT Brooks stuff and seems to do alright (and I know I appreciate the deals).
Damn. Hesperia, huh? That's 30 min. from my wife's hometown. I need to check out that store next time I'm down there!
Polo bear sweaters are quite desirable among Polo collectors.
a bit late to the game aren't we?
I hit a few of my favorite places yesterday and came up empty handed except for a fantastic RLPL FC shirt. I found it at one of my go-to places that usually yields pretty decent stuff, but their prices have skyrocketed recently. Many shirts were priced at $20, and they had few suits for $90+, most of which were JAB or Chaps garbage. They also had 3 or 4 pairs of AE that were completely beat to hell priced at $80+. Anyone else noticing price increases like this?
Not up here, at least not yet. GW seems to be keeping things pretty steady, which has been great for me given limited funds.
My finds from the weekend.
Best shirts I've ever found at a thrift store. All excellent condition. From the top, Canali, Luciano Barbera (love this), and three Zegna's. The Zegna's are up for sale if anyone is interested (size L, about 16.5, 34/35).
I've seen some talk about Lands End here recently, and decided to pick up this Lamb's Wool blazer. It basically seems NWOT. Also found an excellent condition Hart Schaffer Marx navy blazer in my size, sold my Nordstrom.
Some excellent condition, recent Brooks Brothers pants. The two pleated fronts are up for sale (36x32)
Finally, a sportcoat that I thought was unique. Its a vintage Hugo Boss made in West Germany. It is in mint condition, and looks like it was hardly ever worn. The 50% wool, 50% cotton fabric gives it a cool feel.
Nice finds! Details on the Lands' End? What size? Thanks!
