Not sure why Zanella doesn't focus more on flat-front trousers. I've found two pair recently, both 40 so I left them. Still, they're really nice pants. I don't see how these penta-pleated Zanellas are even wearable.

Not trying to be a jerk, but that stuff is all garbage. The Brooks Brothers are at least 30 years old and the rest is typical diffusion line crapola. At least put a spoiler tag on it like I did so the thread isn't bunged up with photos.

I put a grey flannel pair down yesterday as well. It actually fit in the waist/inseam perfectly, but the ballooning in the thighs paired with some hefty pleats looked ridiculous. Flat front, slimmer pants seem non-existent in my thrift stores.

+1. This is a big case of don't buy for the label.

Agreed. Might be able to snag it cheaper from the store when the sales roll around.

Dang - I'll make a note to grab them if they're not oddly short and if they're still there.

My thought as well. We're talking J.Crew here, not Hermes. That said, if you like it and it's in good shape, it's still a discount to retail.

w.w. chan is well noted as one of the best tailoring houses in Asia. HK branch is better than the Shanghai branch.

Sorry guys, they were all double pleated! One was even a Zanella Platinum.... but in all my time of thrifting, i've only come across one pair that was flat fronted that fit perfect.

+1. I felt like I was going through a shitty SA all over again without leaving the home.

Nice find! Chan is one of the most talked about HK tailors here on SF. Quality is excellent. Found a pair of trousers once from them. Wouldn't have known about them if it wasn't for here.
